Not grilling but still cooking with fire. Fried chicken, grandmas recipe from West Virginia. Only way I really like fried chicken.
My dad taught me how to make it and I have only ever used vegetable oil. with the sky high price of vegetable oil and after seeing some ancient recipes they all cooked in lard.
Talked to my padre and he said grandma used to only make it in lard. So for $6 I was able to have enough lard for what would normally cost me $12 in Wesson vegetable oil. Kind of excited to see how much better it is.
my dad said it will be awesome.
Feed back post on it forthcoming.

Dude sometimes a grilled hot dog just hits the spot!

My department bought a hot dog roller so I endured a weeks worth of hot dogs. I'm done with them for a while

Try Crisco. Super unhealthy but makes some damn fine fried chicken or chops! I've recently had to switch to olive oil for health reasons, but I might cave and do a good fry in Crisco.

True, but it actually works surprisingly well! Gotta watch your heat, but otherwise it does really good.

Missed the grill pic, but cedar plank brown sugar and something salmon. Still finding treasures in the back of the freezer.

    That looks delish!!!!
I really wish I liked salmon. I can't eat it cooked, raw? No problem, cooked? It gets a fishy smell and taste that I just can't stand. Mahi, wahoo, pompano, grouper, snapper, etc I am all good with. Basically any white meat fish I like. Salmon and tuna can't handle cooked.
