Thanks, and do it! Moab is hard to beat for a very unique offroad experience and fantastic scenery.

Cut some tabs for solid mounting my lowers last night, got them to within .01" of each other using just calipers, a cutoff wheel and flap disc. The large ones for the front are 2.12" x 1.6", rears are 1.87" x 1.5", which are the dims I got for the TC tab widths. Just need to decide on the offset for drilling the holes, but I am going to position the rear bushing as far outboard as possible, and the fronts half way from center to fully inboard. That should give good caster, then the camber will be set with new DK heimed uppers which will be ordered this month.

Well, they will actually just unbolt, but then the. Mounts the bolt to are being cut off, and new eyelet style mounts welded on.

Are you selling some rear Icons that will bolt in a factory location?

I am, the Metal Tech speced Icons and Metal Tech springs are coming off, need to used together and I am selling them together. One was rebuilt by Icon last year, the other has a light weep at the seal but otherwise in good, but used shape. $300 for the package if you are interested.

The rest of the install was much slower than expected, but on par with any custom fab project. Changed the approach for the upper mount halfway through and had to hack more of the OE mount off than I originally planned, but think it will come out pretty sweet. Progress pics tomorrow.

    Yesterday's progress.

I think I have been playing pre-runner too hard, this crap is getting cut off.

    IMG_1364.jpg

    IMG_1365.jpg

Next cut off the part of the OEM mount.

    IMG_1366.jpg

    IMG_1368.jpg

And ended up here, but it wasn't working out.

    IMG_1369.jpg

    So more cutting.

    IMG_1370.jpg

And ended up here for the day.

Going to add gussets and box the mount.

After cycling the suspension a bunch, I am going to change the upper links up, they are bushing mounted on one end and bind quite a bit at full axle drop, but not articulation. Also decided I am going to add a center limit strap to help with the axle swing created by the pan hard at full drop.

Resi hose is also not working out the way I wanted either, going to need to be changed up to be able to get the resi tucked up and out of the way . . .

Yeah, those were the bump drops that I built, clearly weren't up for the task. New ones will be DOM and superbumps. The actual pad that the drop mounts to is rusty as shit, hopefully not rotten into the frame . . .

Yeah, I mean the resi will be what rubs, but it is a result of the hose routing and fitting off of the shock. I think if I add another small 90* I will be able to get them on the frame rail between the frame and the body.

I have a 1" BL so it will fit, but I just thought of another mounting spot, build a crossmember between the frame and the pan hard crossmember at 45* and put the resi on there.
