    Bluegrass,
This is very useful information for those running this exact tire on a Tacoma with OE OR Wheels. Thanks for sharing. Since the Duratrac is not available in the size 265/75R16 you listed, can you clarify if you are running L265/75R16 LRC or LT265/75R16 LRE ?
    Thanks!

    Imagine that...
The corrected 'recommended tire pressure' for your new tire is 36 psi.

    Doesn't really matter if it's C1, C2, D, E.
    LT is an LT

Wrangler MT/R 10 ply's I'm running 35, they max out at 80 tho. Wranger Adventures that came on it were run at 30.

Load Range C tire and Load Range E tires for instance are constructed differently to support the differrent loads. For example, LRE carcass plies are often a differrent specification than LRC plies.

I never said anything to the contrary.
Check the context, by the question posed in the post I quoted.

'C' and 'E' tires of the same size, will take the same PSI, to obtain a given load rating; to a point.
As you said, Load E are constructed to take more.

Not all that accurate. Same vehicle, and different load weight tires, the C ratted tires needed 42 psi to get the correct tire patch, where as the E rated tires need 36 psi.

According to TRA load inflation tables?
    How is this measured?

Not to beat up splitbolt again but chris4x4 has a good point here, the LRC and LRE tires are designed at different load assumptions and with different design rules, they will not have the same contact patch nor deflection at the same PSI.

Although chris4x4 it looks like you used the design tables, which is a great starting point, but I'm still not convinced unless we did a chalk test or even better a pressure distribution heat map. I'll see if we can get some actual pressure distribution heat maps from our R&D center to close this out for all, but it will take some time.

All, just wanted to update on my experience running LT265/75R16 LRE FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T3W's on a 2016 TRD Off-Road 4x4 Quad Cab Short Bed Tech Package with OEM wheels.

I have been running 31psi cold, which heats up to about 35psi highway driving. The truck still handles really well at the lower pressure, and the comfort is fine in my opinion. I had 4 people in the cab and the bed loaded down with firewood and camping gear this weekend, it drove fine.

I will say the disadvantage of the LT265/75R16 for me to this point is gas mileage. I am only getting about 18-19 on the highway with these tires and a fully loaded truck. I see some members getting over 20mpg with the OE tires on TRD Off-Road versions.

    Cheers.

Maybe only tire nerds like myself find this interesting...
(32 psi cold this AM, note outside temp and speed)

I’m running a little bigger tire than what came on truck. Would you guys still go by the door sticker? I’m thinking, it doesn’t apply anymore.

On my 265/75/16 (C load) Duratracs, I kept it close to 30-32.
On my 255/80/17 (E load) Wildpeaks, I keep it around 34
