Here's a question. I have a blank spot on my dash where I lost my filler plate. Was going to add a little bolt meter to fill the spot shown below. Only problem is that it's always on. Can I add a diode(?) to make to so it comes on only when the vehicle is running?

couldnt you wire in a relay that only gets power when your vehicle is powered on?

Even simpler, if it's just a voltmeter you won't even need a relay. Just wire directly to a switched 12v source. Can use a fuse or circuit tap to the radio or something. Doesn't need to go directly to the battery.

thankfully im just altering an already built one. But im going to add some things to it and hope it all turns out good.

Feel hesitant because my runner is so clean now.

I am going to end up pulling a Ramon and just put any parts I get away for a later date.

    :anonymous:

Local prices to swap my wheels are $160-185, which pays for a replacement tire in 275 or 285. So, fuck that. I'll run these wheels until the tires are roasted, and spend that money on new tires instead with free mount and balance on the SCS wheels.

Got a good deal on front coilovers, a good deal on rear springs.. l'll have 25k miles or so to find a good deal on rear shocks and/or UCAs. Also got a great deal on a new Frontrunner Slimline rack that's brand new in the box for more than 50% off.

Then I'll just do it all at once.

Picked up my CBI rear this weekend from a T4R member and it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Powdercoating is scraped off a bit on one edge and it was bent in on a wing, but took out the trusty stock bottle jack and I'm pretty sure it's just about straight now. Didn't think it would work so well, but I might have a perfectly fine bumper for $150. :woot:
