Having run DuraTracs for years, I'm on my fourth set, and getting them siped when I buy them, the increased siping intrigues me. I can be on frozen ground snow and ice in the morning and in mud later in the day.

Hopefully the 16" rim sizes expand to 235/85

unfortunately they finished and it was already night so i’ll have to take some better pictures later.

255/75/17 on 0 offset. couldn’t beat the rub without pulling the front mudflaps off otherwise all good so far but they assume i might get a little rub.

haven’t driven enough to notice the noise but so far it doesn’t seem like anything crazy. i’ll have it on the highway tomorrow.

one in the daylight. drove around in the 40-50 range the noise really isn’t noticeable to me especially with music on.

What did tires did you have on before these?

That's the size I plan on getting on my truck in a few months, just waiting to see if Discount Tire will have them on sale, I have a few thousand miles left on my current Open Country tires

we had some weather this week. ended up with something like four inches of snow that turned to warmer weather and slushy slippery junk.

tires did awesome. no slipping anywhere. i was lazy and didn’t shovel out my driveway which before the tires would skip a little backing out. on the road everything felt great.

i have a pedal commander on so my throttle is a little more touchy so before coming from a stop on wet pavement i’ve felt my previous tire skip. i didn’t feel that at all during any of the sloppy weather yesterday.

so far i have no complaints about the tire.

I always viewed the weak-sidewall-yet-aggressive tread OG Duratracs as a mall crawler tire. It’s good to see that they have made the tire capable of actually going off road safely.

Are they offered in 255/80r17 within a reasonable weight?

Goodyear offers the Duratrac RT in the 255/80R17 and they are shown to weigh 54Lbs. Hope you don't mind us sending you a DM.

    Like, so many.
Yo, I’m in the market for new tires. Been running NRG’s for years, but I’m open to swapping. Do these come in 285/70/17 or 285/75/17?

The good news is that they have a large amount of inventory in the LT265/75R16 E1 Duratrac with no intensions of discontinuing it.

The Goodyear Duratrac RT does in fact come in the LT285/70R17 LRE. They are not listed on our website at this time but are available. Hope you don't mind us sending you a DM.

I got a set of 265/70R17 RT (XL load rating) in late December. Previous tires were Kenda Klever RT KR601 33x10.5R17 (E-load) and before that was 265/70R17 Duratrac SL load rating. The new Duratrac RT's have been fantastic so far in deep snow (10"-12"), packed snow and rain. I would say they are about as loud as the original Duratracs. The ride quality is a little stiffer than the original Duratracs, but thats to be expected since it's a 3 ply sidewall and XL load rating. It's still good ride quality though. So far I would say it's an improvement in every way except weight, but the added durability is worth the weight increase. The Kenda's were very good as well in traction, but they weighed too much, about 65lbs per tire, rode like crap, noticeable acceleration decrease and 2-3mpg loss (calculated) which was somewhat expected but I didn't think it was going to be as bad as it was.

My only complaint is the lack of available sizes, hopefully Goodyear is working on that. It's not an issue currently for me. But it is for many other larger trucks. It'd be awesome to see a 33x10.50 and other sizes like that.

Just got a set of 255/75r17 SL on my truck. Switched from Toyo Open Country 255/70

    I have about 200 miles on the tire and my impressions so far are;
-It's a lot more aggressive looking in person but surprisingly quiet on the road
-No vibrations at all very smooth rolling
-About the same mpg as my Open Countries, hard to tell in just 200 miles
-But with the tall lugs I do notice a little bit more swaying in heavy crosswinds.

Just got a set in 295/70r17. I love the new sidewall design on these. What pressures have you guys been running these E load tires at? I'm thinking of starting around 40psi and moving downward if needed. Will mount and post pics soon.

Run pressures down until you have an even contact patch. I run E range tires and even at 32psi, they aren't comfortable.

Anyone else running 255/75/17? How's your MPG/ride? Would love to see more setups, I'm seriously considering getting this tire.

I'm seeing on multiple websites that they weigh only 40 LBs?

I have about 1000 miles on my 255/75r17, scroll up to post #33 in this thread for my initial impressions.
I've noticed I lost about 1mpg on a tank of fuel with city/highway driving, 17mpg now vs 18 before.

I wonder how it will do in ice/snow/slush compared to the old Duratrac. “with even more biting edges than before” sounds possible that they doubled down on their 3PMS rating and reputation.
