    Hello -

I searched this 3d gen forum and the general forum but was unable to find any info about those who may have simply removed their carpet and sprayed their floor with a bedliner type of product.

I'm considering this on my 2019. Carpet isn't "bad", I have WeatherTech mats, but it is worn around the door sills and is just a royal PITA to vacuum.

If anyone has done it, I'd be grateful for pics and any thoughts on how it turned out.

PS: I have already done this before on a 2014 Jeep JK Wrangler. So I know what is involved in terms of prep and application and product selection. I'm nowhere near a neat freak, but living down the bayou in south Louisiana means a lot of rain and mud. So being able to just spray some soapy water followed by a light rinse makes the periodic cleanout super easy.

    Thanks!
    Andy

Yeah, I know what you mean about having to vacuum out the truck. I'd rather run a chainsaw into my forehead, after being set on fire, it's that bad.
    C'mon now.... (It's only Thursday....)

Same here. I track mud and dirt into my cab 24/7/365.

I had vinyl flooring in my GMC 3/4 ton crew. Loved it.

I like the idea but you still have to get the water out after you rinse it. A screw-in drain would be nice.

works great just make sure the wife isn't home when you do it.

    I’ve been interested in this.
I read somewhere on here to lay down vinyl like 6 mil visqueen or something and spray/roll bed liner on that. Then you would be building a new carpet. There are few wires under there too, drfinetly in mine, so the plastic would help hide them.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'd just wonder how much noise you'd get in the cab. Seems like it would be considerable.

I have contacted ACC about third gen replacement carpet (and vinyl) flooring for third gens but have had no luck. They come from the same mold.

I heard the second gen floor pan is 'close' and if someone really wanted to try it..it just may work. Alternately, if there was a way to get a floor pan section from a third gen to ACC maybe they can mold it. That seems like a lot of work though.

I would be interested in vinyl flooring in mine, a drop in solution like from ACC.
