...reached 202,000 miles and still runs almost like new. Have kept up very consistent maintenance and only have had to replace bearing assemblies. This is my work vehicle and the miles are for work travel, from the east coast to west coast and a lot of places in between. It still has good original paint, body and interior condition, as well as engine and drive-train performance. I've been very pleased with this truck's overall performance and reliability. If you keep up regular maintenance and drive sensible, it will actually last a very long time.

218,000 on my 07. Still runs like new although I do have some peeling white paint which seems common. I change the oil every 10K and that's about it. I've had to replace brake pads, but the rotors and drums are still factory. It still has the coolant and hoses that came from the factory as well as transmission fluid. I'll replace the coolant when the hoses start going bad. Replaced struts/shocks at 125,000 and the alternator at 190,000. I expect at least another 200,000 out of it. One of my grand kids will get it in about 10 years.

my 07 has just over 238,000 miles and still going strong. I've had to replace one rear axle seal, both front wheel bearings, the front diff. out put needle bearing, one set of front brake pads and that's it. I have changed fluids and serpentine, and hoses just for POM. Hoping to get another 200,00 out of her, BUT I have recently purchased a low mileage 2014 just incase the 07 goes tits up.

This is super cool, thanks for sharing! I only have 7K miles on mine right now but I will definitely will be following this thread as the main reason I bought my Tacoma was because I wanted a truck I could keep for 15+ years. I’ll be doing a lot of long trips in my Taco so I’m glad to hear how great they are over long periods of time and high mileage.

You and I have 3rd gens which have different engines than the 2nd gens. Our trucks will be lucky to last 15,000 miles. /s

My 2005 has 247,000 plus miles on her. Had to do the head gaskets at 137,000. Both front wheel bearings. But she still runs like brand new. The best hunting truck you could ever find.

I have a 2007 4x4 Tacoma Base model with a 4 cal 2.7 2TR FE that I purchased for my son about 9 years ago. It survived his teenage years, college and the military. It has 203,000 miles on the odometer. Replaced the water pump, drive shaft U-joints, a valve cover gasket and some miscellaneous odds and ends. She runs just like it was brand new. I change the oil every 5K miles and change out the fluids when needed. She is a very dependable truck indeed.

It sounds like all of us take pride in our trucks, not only just because its a Toyota, but because we see the value in them and choose to treat them as good as the service they deliver for us. Keeping up regular maintenance on them, allows them to show us their appreciation.

Mostly 340,000 miles of wear on the '96. A sharp looking Gasshole for the '21
    Congrats

This stat always blows my mind: Almost a moon trip!

I'm half way back in my '96.

    Just turned 460,000 this morning.
Nothing special but keeping on top of maintenance and repairing items that wear out/break. It's garage kept at home and at work, obviously mostly highway miles. I don't abuse it and almost all parts are replaced with OEM or the brand that is OEM, I'm generally not a believer in aftermarket stuff purely for the reasons of longevity. The main reason I got the towing pkg on it was for the oil and trans cooler. Fluids that can stay cooler will last longer and thus the parts they are lubricating will last longer too. I keep it clean inside, outside, and in the engine compartment.
Oil changes every 10,000 miles with synthetic. Lube grease fittings every 10,000 with Amsoil grease. A transmission flush every 100,000 with Amsoil ATL. Coolant complete drain and refill every 100,000 or more, depending on when the water pump goes. Differential fluids (both) and transfer case fluid drain and refill first at 100,000 and now every 200,000 with Amsoil. Power steering fluid drained and refilled every 100,000 with Amsoil ATF.
    Major components replaced:
Frame about 278,000 due to the replacement campaign, had quarter-size holes on the inner frame rails right where the cats. are near it. Had the upper and lower control arms replaced at that time too.
Front struts and rear shocks every 100-150,000. Leaf springs have been replaced a few times due to various Toyota recalls and TSB.
    Alternator at about 400K.
    Water pump 2-3 times
Front brake pads and rear shoes a few times. Rebuilt the calipers about 10,000 miles ago
    Rear-wheel bearings and seals.
Front-wheel bearings, Drivers side around 250K, passenger side now. Going to replace both original CV axles when I do the passenger side front wheel bearing as I'm going to replace the driver's side front wheel bearing, oh, that driver's side needle bearing is getting replaced with the ECGS one too.
Passenger side valve-cover gasket at about 450,000
Engine rear main oil seal at about 450,000
Stupid timing chain cover leak that I did not pull off but rather pulled the power steering pump off and made it's fit into the timing chain cover not as tight and smeared the heck out of Permatex right stuff along the sealed edge of the TC cover, seems to have fixed the leak. It leaked for a good 150,000 before I attempted the fix since it was such a slow leak.
