Amsoil in the six speed manual shifts a lot smoother and easier I've found. In the motor i was seeing a bit more oil usage, dont know if the head gasket replacement contributed to that or not. But when I performed an amsoil flush, amsoil upper cylinder treatment and signature series oil change it slowed down consumption very noticeably.

Original owner bought in december 2004 - 4x4 TRD Sport for ~26k. Now double locked on 35s with a never ending list if I could ever find the time. I crossed 200k Feb 25, 2024 driving from Crested Butte to Santa Fe.

No major issues ... I'd say normal wear and tear other than the HG done about 10k miles ago -- but for a 190k mile truck that has been beaten on and no other issues I call this a win. Yes I recommend tennis grip to cover the ripped steering wheel and I'm sure a rock would crack thd windshield the day I replace it :)

I've done 95% of the maintenance and mods. I did have AJ from AJ Yotas (you'll find him on i8mud -- wizard) replace the HG after he did the same on my '73 FJ40 and I'm on my 2nd steering rack which does leak ... meh ... I'll continue to drive this back and forth to CO for the next few years on a regular basis, am looking forward to all the trails up here in CB and a few trips to Moab this summer ... and am looking forward to 300k.

    Same as everybody else...
I read everyone of these posts, im at about 184k on my Prerunner. I'm careful with the maintenance on her, change the oil every 4-5k, and stay up on fluid changes. Other than replacing the FWB, wheel sensor and a seal I've done nothing crazy to her. I'm 65 and I really think she'll outlast me
