It’ll go well in my Mad Max case. Just waiting for the Sandman to come out in September and then March Hare at some point.

 

Such awesomeness! I stick to the 1/64 scale and I know they've made a few.. but not nearly enough.

The MPC 1/24 scale model kit from hell. MPC kits are the worst with poor quality, poor fit and poor molds. This kit did not disappoint. When I got it home I was like do I really want to put myself through this? The roof sits to low and the rear pillars were twice as thick as they should have been. I shaved them for a better fit. The rear wheel wells were poorly radius-ed and I opened them up more. The wheel selection was blah so I changed those but kept the tires. The firewall would not fit in place for nothing. The paint job came out great and I sharpie tinted the windows red. Also bare metal foiled the chrome. The car did nothing to help . Turned out surprisingly pretty good.

 

I forgot the body also cracked and I had to use the American Hero decals to cover that. Before I finished this I almost went and bought another kit but decided I wasted enough with this one. AMT has a 55 210 Belair 2 door post that would have fit this car.

Tried my luck today at a Walmart and Meijer's over in Akron. The Akron Walmart has a 4 sided hot Wheels display in the aisle with hundreds on it. Also had usual display in usual place. As usual everything good was picked clean before it ever got to the floor. Meijer's had a dedicated end cap full of hooks but few Hot Wheels. Main display was about as empty.
I entertain myself by going out into the garage and looking at the cars that are not good enough to be upstairs anymore and then see what I can do to change that. Creates a vicious cycle because something goes back upstairs something has to come back down. Also keeps me entertained.
Also looking into buying a small sand blaster at Harbor Freight to strip these cars down with. I'm seeing small ones for $35. Paint Stripper is north of $20 now.

 

Do you have an air compressor?

Have you read my post about my cheap sand blasting set up? I already a big enough air compressor so that wasn't a factor for me.
