None that I know of but when it comes to bumpers and armor for your truck you get what you pay for. Personally, I won't try to pinch pennies on those.

There are a ton of bumpers on the market, but for under 1k for a crafted/steel bumper youre range is thin. Give us a shout if you want to explore some options and see what we can work up.

You just looking for a high and tight bumper, no structural support? No swingout? No recovery points or what?

the only one I know is the brute force, otherwise you're better off buying a welder and some metal to make one.

I cut up this cheap body armor bumper to make my "medium clearance bumper" until I can afford a brute force

How's your welding skill? There are companies selling pre-cut weld-yourself kits for well under $1k.

I don’t think coastal is bad, but $837 + shipping from Canada for a bumper that’s not assembled is not that great of a deal compared to $995 for a complete brute force fab bumper.
Or reach out to 4xInnovation to see if their 2nd gen bumper can work for a 3rd since it’s only $845

    ^$837 CAD is only $613 USD ;)

And shipping a stack of steel plates is usually cheaper than pallet freight for a completed bumper.

Unfortunately I think inflation has hit coastal. 837 in USD

    My WarFab cost about that.

    1. I kinda wish I got something DIY like coastal to give me practice welding runs on something that doesn’t have to look pretty, doesn’t down the truck, and isn’t critical suspension structure

    2. wish I got swingouts at the time. Why? This is a small truck. There is no room to keep everything inside. If you’ve used it like that you’ll know that.

I’d rather have spare tire, floor jack, hi lift, and who knows what else on swingouts. Maybe a table, fuel can holder, water can holder, if there’s room.

never ran into a need for fuel can yet.
Water I’ve kept inside. Don’t know how I feel about outside sun hitting it.
And then a trash bag on the tire. Better outside. Probably not a trasharoo. The quality on the one I tried was crap.

might even add rear end collision safety having that there Including squishy rubber tire.
I can’t run a 35 under the bed with Archive HH cross tube.

tree saver bars make sense to me. Many don’t have it. But can be added.
Choose wisely. Once you’ve made the bedside cut, it’s cut.

Better but potentially costlier would be a Ute tray with canopy. That can do the same thing but with more space, accessibility, drawers. Mounting things. Etc. Potentially integrated pop up top to sleep.

Affordable is really subjective. And so is what you want to put on the bumper.

For the most high clearance with nothing added to the bumper, like swing outs, cans, jacks, tires.

    Look into Outgear solutions. https://outgearsolutions.com/collections/all
In comparison to other bumpers they are light weight/ high & tight. I'm a big fan.

For the most economical solution they offer end caps for removal of the bumper. This is the highest and tightest you can go without cutting the tailgate.

    Which brands offer diy kits?

I know SSO had DIY front bumpers, I built one of those. Fun day of welding and it was cheap.

More like a website glitch. Their currency converter got messed up and was over quoting prices. We actually just caught this issue yesterday :anonymous:

That same bumper is now starting at around $700 or $600 if you take advantage of that group buy
    Thanks for the tag!

So all the details are in the link, but TLDR; 15% off of products and an optional 25% off of shipping if you can do combined shipping with others. We have a combined shipping deal and location set up for those in California, but anyone anywhere is eligible for this if they can get some friends to sign up too

I can second coastal offroad. I put one of their bumpers on my '99 4runner. They had to ship me a second one, the first one became "lost" after clearing customs, so we had to wait for UPS to investigate and their insursnce to cover it, but that's nothing I can hold against them. The kit came decently packaged, and had clesr instructions for assembly. I did end up modifying it a bit after tacking the center section all together to get some more clearance, so I had to trim the inside of the wings upper plate, but had I not done so, it would have been straightforward following thekr instructions. Took me about 2 weekends of time, maybe 4-6hrs at a stretch each saturday and sunday to tsck it all up, reinforce the front frsmehorns to my liking (sleeved them myself, not part of the kit/instructions) fit everything up, figure out how I wanted to adjust it, modify it, test fit again, and weld together. I took my time and kept moving around tondifferent areas to keep from warping it too much in any one spot. Painted it up, mounted my winch and installed. Their prices have gone up, but not more than I would consider reasonable, given inflation and the orice increases in metal the past few years.
