We adopted her sight-unseen and it’s been meow-meow-meow ever since.

    Issues:

    1) Totally unresponsive when we call her, but expects us to jump to our feet whenever she meows.

    2) I'm only 5'10" (OK - 5’ 8.5”) and I have to bend down slightly so she can jump up on my shoulders. She rubs on me and scrapes her teeth on my head. This cat is a pain.

    3) She darts back and forth in front of you instead of walking beside you. You have to be a contortionist to walk through the house.

    4) Her mood changes on a dime. I have to constantly guess if she loves me or just wants another cat treat.

    5) If any insect gets in the house, she becomes possessed and flies across the room without warning. Collisions are unavoidable.

    6) She pees over the side of the litter box, even when we put fresh litter in.

    7) She guards the doors and won’t let the dogs in.

    8) Her fur is dry and static-y, so if I pet her too much, she bites me and then licks my hand.

This cat has taken the joy out of whining about stuff. What were they thinking when they put her up for adoption?

I'm hoping someone steals the OP’s Tacoma so we have something to enjoy sourdough bread over!

In other words, you have a cat! :D She's a beauty. I lost my sweetheart a week ago; I had her 17 years, but she had cancer. I miss her so very much.
Anyway, I have had my 2023 Tacoma for about 4 months now, and I am also 5'-10", and love everything about it...so, yeah.

    1. don’t blame the truck for failing on your part for not getting the tune everyone gets to fix the issue you report. This has been known for years.

    2. maybe don’t buy something that forces a windshield camera down your through. Why would you do that
it’s not a surprise when you buy it. It’s known. It’s visible. Right there in the glass.

    don’t know if there’s workarounds.

my truck does not have it.
I have driven other cars that randomly slam on the brakes no matter what it’s set to, and called normal by the engineers. Good for them.

You can see in your 2nd gen that Toyota started adding garbage to their US product line since 2005 if not earlier. Why are you surprised this has continued.

you should be able to sell it.

why would the engineers be fired? You voted for it and justified it with your dollar. Crap exists because crap is demanded and bought.
What do you think is more profitable. Make a good product. Or make a shit product for Pennies and sell it for thousands.
Car companies exist to make sales. That is their primary goal.
It is made because people buy it. If people didn’t buy it it wouldn’t be made.

16-23 has been out since 16. They can be test driven and borrowed. If I was to get one, which I will not be, I would do that.

it’s almost like people call it Turd Gen for a reason.
If double the price for the same frame, same suspension, same bed, with worse engine is not a red flag to you, I can’t help you.
Normally if something costs more money, it’s supposed to offer more things to justify spending more money.

autos can be reliable. And probably off road better than my manual. Clearly that is not the only thing OP is complaining about, and would still have (potentially valid) complaints if it was auto.

Manual should probably have a crawlbox.
What does Bronco have. Crawler gear. Tacoma? No. You get whoopie cushion seats and a sway bar and wider wheels.
What has Jeep had for years
4:1 tcase. Without breaking. Almost like there’s some point to slow leverage crawling in 4LO.
    Toyota? No. Enjoy 2.57:1.

At 77yo, Im on my 4th Tacoma: 1st, 2nd and now a 3rd Gen. "ONLY" concerns Ive had with any of em is a few 'Recalls" and Toyota took care of them!!

Only negative comment I have: The 4th Gen is just plain "UGLY" and Toyota has priced itself out of the market:crapstorm:

    Good close-reading. Dog will hunt.
... SO! Turns out my wife apparently bought a one-month subscription to Paramount+ and my memory for this stupid thing I saw in the 80’s is ratified. Wish I could remember important things.
