No. I'm trying my best not to get too excited about it. I really don't want to be one of the guinea pigs.

I've never been one to de-badge a vehicle, but that does look pretty bad at first glance. I'm sure there will be many aftermarket options.

Who knows if that's even what we'll get. Maybe they'll read the comments and decide to change it.

 

After cursing out Toyota in my head for their placement of the pcv valve on the 3rd gen, the old one sounds like I didn't need to change it. (45k in)
So there's that.

I completely missed that.

You've all already helped plenty in that area.

The feel of the grumble of the engine at low idle, an unbalanced tire or rotational type grumble as I roll to a stop.....only I continue to feel the grumble as I'm stopped.
Shift into P, brake on or off, still feel it.

Idles normal, drives normal, shifts normal.

Grumbles like it has an empty stomach.

I've checked torque on suspension. Components all good.
Raised it up shook/spun the wheel, axle, tie rods. All good.
The grumble is the reason I cleaned the MAF and throttle body, took the diff drop kit out and changed the pcv (haven't driven since changing pcv).
The cheap and easy stuff, 1st.

There are new scratches on the underside of the sliders. Maybe those are vibing at low rpm's and need to be retorqued?

Edit: I used 'vibing' at the end because I felt I exceeded the amount of 'grumbles' allowed/post.

So not to derail a good thread, but I have a technical question about sliders (rock, not burger)
What's best overall, rattlecan, powdercoat or bedliner?

Who makes then at the ideal price/performance point?

 

I like the idea of a drive to Platteville to pick them up, but they don't appear to offer bolt ons for trail limos.

 

Agreed with @LarryDangerfield about the rattle can paint job. It's easy to touch up. And, there was so much rust hiding under the powder coat on mine. I'd never get powder coated armor again.

 

Honestly, Tim, if you've ever put on a set of bolt-on sliders, you might just wish you had weld-on. Not sure I look forward to pulling mine off.
