I hate to tell you all with bad weather, but this is going to be another grand sunny day here! Mid 60s!
Grandbabe and I made tacos for dinner last night. Even grandma thought we did good! We are having pizza tonight, but going to try to make a beet salad tomorrow night. Grandma loves her weeks off from cooking even if meals aren’t up to her standards.
Some good news…grandbabe’s BF and his team won 1st place in division 4 national clays competition! Giant trophy! I loved breaking clays, but was never good enough to be competitive at it.

Make today a great one folks because you won’t get a second chance!

    Morning all:

Congrats to your granddaughters BF and the team on the 1st place, I never was too good at hitting clay birds, but let a grouse fly up within range and different story! :) I loved to hunt grouse and there were quite a few around, then they went into a decline and never seemed to rebound, it's rare to even see one anymore.

Me also! Every time I need to cross a bridge just North of me, and the traffic is stopped bumper to bumper on both sides for the entire length of the bridge, I often think "what if", that's a lot of weight just sitting there on that bridge.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Feet feeling better yesterday, after avoiding shoes and just taking it easy. Recliner goes to the dump, and I go to my hair stylist to grab that recliner she's been trying to get rid of. It'll do until a new one comes - it's nice enough, and better than nothing! Wife has decided I want this Hydeline chair made in NC, shes' determined that I like it better than a RTG one. That's it for the day. Be interesting enough just wrestling them in and out.

Just about freaked out this AM though, I looked over to the East fence, and I see all kinds of "smoke" rising by the fence, where the AC and pool motor is. Went out to check, and it's very bright sunshine, turning water on the fence into a very local fog! Been here a long time, and never seen that before.

Two supervisory guys at the shop where I part-time have left. One of them was the "gas man" (fuel and welding) and when I got there yesterday all of the forklifts were dead. Lovely. First order of business, take two forklift empties to the propane supplier - get added to the list of persons who can sign for payment. They are supposed to bring three today so I can get the stores rack back to full. Looks like we have 5 x 100 pounders and three are in use on the shop floor as welding pre-heaters.

Today working with the welding lead-man to get the bottle list organized. Amazing how many are scattered through the plant - oxy/acetylene sets, nitrogen, argon, 98-2, 95-5 and so on. I remember working on a census of these maybe 6 years ago and we had 80 on the property!

I tried to get this organized and listed several years ago when I was the machine shop super.......... but my successor has just been shooting from the hip. Trying to find the old stores list.

Good morning all. Cloudy here at the moment, but don't think we're supposed to get any rain today. Time will tell.

Good luck with the recliner @Oldie2007

Have fun counting those gas bottles @GREENBIRD56

Been there a few times plus have passed lots of smaller stones. They will go up into your kidney and blast the large stones with a laser. Takes about an hour or a little longer. It’s not bad, recovery is pretty quick. You want to have those large stones removed before they start to pass. If they start to pass and are too large to pass then fluid will back up in your kidneys (hydronephrosis) and will damage kidneys or cause kidney failure. So it’s good you are getting this taken care of.

Can't win for losing sometimes. Took the old chair to the dump this morning. But, all they offer is 4 large, 6' tall dumpsters. So, I had to put the tailgate down to get as close as I could, being the only one there, and I went ONE INCH too far - putting a crease in the new tailgate. While I was struggling to get the darn chair out of the bed and over the dumpster, a garbage truck pulled up, and the driver came over yelling "I got you man! Hang on!". So Hercules got it up and over. Went and picked up the FREE FITTY chair, and it took longer to drag it to the sunroom than the trip to bring it home. But it's here. It's short, the foot rest is rock hard, and the rocker makes getting up exciting, but it's FREE.

Pieces that broke off the bottom of the old LaZBoy.

It really is a dark Navy blue, so at least we know about what a new one will look like!

My "dump" is that way, too. 6' tall dumpsters  How bad is the crease in the tail gate?

Damn, that truly sucks, and would piss me off to no end, having just replaced/repainted the tailgate. I'm soooooooooo glad the 3rd gens have a backup camera.

Ugh, that truly sucks. The first scratch on my 2020 also occurred in a dump when I was unloading some scrap and managed to scrap the edge of an old screen door on the back corner of the truck. Self-imposed punishment.

    And, good morning fellow Porchatonians!!
