Does anybody remember the Day & Night 2.5-ton unit that I picked up in Bristol earlier this month? Today, @Stitchgirl90 and I went back for the oil furnace that I was also promised...

Dismembering a sooty old oil furnace with a sawzall is a good reason to wear a respirator!

I love the band KISS; I first heard the song "Rock and Roll All Nite" as a kid in the late 1990s or early 2000s, then I heard "Strutter" on the in-game radio station while driving in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004, and "Lick it Up" the same way in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories in about 2006-2007. I started watching Gene Simmons: Family Jewels (back when A&E actually knew how do reality shows; Hardcore Pawn and Duck Dynasty were the last good ones in my opinion) in 2007-2008 and became a fan of that show. I have quite a few KISS songs on my iPod, and I will shamelessly blast them in my truck with the windows down on a nice day (or night).

I was doing just that tonight (cranking the "Alive" version of "Rock and Roll All Nite") with the driver's window down. There was a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee in front of me, and another late model Grand Cherokee next to it. There were two kids in the second Grand Cherokee, one in the backseat and one riding shotgun; I will never know if they were gesturing at me or the people in the Jeep that was in front of me, because the people in both Jeeps seemed to be together, and ended up turning into the same neighborhood. These little punks could hear my stereo, and the kid in the front seat appeared to give the loser "L" sign...

    Whatever...

    I love KISS! :headbang:

When @Stitchgirl90 is in the truck, I crank Shania Twain; I am one of those rare straight guys who will admit to liking Shania Twain, but I am not brave enough to crank it when I'm driving solo. However, when I've got my girlfriend with me, it looks a bit less weird!

It's not like the kid flipped me off or anything, but it's just another statistic. People have been becoming bigger and bigger assholes for years, and parents don't know how to raise their kids; COVID exacerbated the problem, and in my opinion the whole world is going to be fucked up for a couple of generations because of it.

I could care less what people (regardless of their age) think of my musical preferences, but it makes me worry for those kids down the road, because some nutcase won't take too kindly even to being flashed with the "L" sign and might react violently.

I don’t care what people think about the music I listen too.
I had a girl ask me the other day, “What song was that?” When I pulled into the gas station.
Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row was the song. It’s kind of got a slow “chick” sound to it.
    But I like what I like,………

Seen Halestorm several times and never a bad show. Though personal favorite was a few years ago co-headlining with the Pretty Reckless

Oh, and this happened on Tuesday when @Stitchgirl90 and I drove up past Allentown to pick up the first oil furnace; I was unfamiliar with area, and following the directions on my GPS to get to Sheetz so we could grab dinner; Sheetz is not common in Bucks County, so it's a rare treat. I stopped to make a left turn, but I waited because there was a blind hill ahead and cars were flying past in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, there was no room to go around me on the right, and the people behind me were stuck. There was a lifted 1999-2002ish Jeep Grand Cherokee behind me, and a tri-axle dump truck behind the Jeep; I couldn't see behind the dump truck. These guys were patient...

I was afraid to turn because cars were flying, and I didn't want, oh I don't know...

TOTAL MY TRUCK AND PERMANENTLY INJURE OR KILL MY GIRLFIEND IN ONE FELL SWOOP?!?!

So, I heard someone beep, but it came from my left rather than from behind me; I looked over and there was a blue late model Honda Civic sitting at a stop sign waiting to turn left from the same side street I wanted to turn left onto. Behind the wheel of that Civic was a young guy who looked like he spent more time at the gym than anywhere else, and who would get in your face just for looking at him. He gestured at me like "WTF?!?!" and I just stared at him. There were two or three more vehicles behind the Civic, but what the hell was I was supposed to do? The coast finally became clear, and I was just so incensed at this prick that I stuck my middle finger out the window and stared straight ahead as I turned. The bro in the Civic started screaming at me, but I didn't hear what he said...

I have been a KlSS fan since the 70's, not sure if you ever watched the movie KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park before. There are fake members performing the song Hotter Than Hell but sing Rip and Destroy instead.

I haven't had much trouble with people who aren't old enough to drive, but do you remember that time in March 2022 when my truck was in the body shop following the scrapyard incident and I was DoorDashing in a rented RAV4?

It was a nice day, and I had all of the windows down; I was at a red light, and this late model Acura SUV pulled up sorta next to me (the rear seat passenger was not perfectly lined up with me, and the front passenger was lined up with my left fender). There were four kids in the Acura from what I could tell, probably barely over 16 years old; 2 white kids in front, and a black kid in the right rear seat. I don't remember what the other backseat passenger looked like, but I think it was 2 white kids, an Asian kid, and a black kid; I happened to notice out of the corner of my eye that the black kid (seated in the right rear of the Acura) was just staring at me. I glanced up, and noticed that both him and the front seat passenger were staring at me, giving me the evil eye. Unlike my truck, a RAV4 has power windows; I was so uncomfortable with these kids that I put the windows on my side. They immediately started laughing, and thankfully the light turned green.

I guarantee you that these kids decided, maybe a mile prior to encountering me, that they were going to stare at the driver of the next vehicle they saw with all the windows down and see what kind of reaction they got; I would not also not be surprised if there is a video of this encounter on TikTok, YouTube, or some other social media platform...

Last year, a DoorDash driver in Virginia SHOT a YouTube prankster in a mall while he was picking up an order, because he didn't know what the YouTuber was up to and feared for his life. The gun was legal and he was licensed to carry, and he did end up getting convicted for the fairly serious charge of discharging a firearm in a public place, but he didn't face any charges related to actually shooting the guy.

If I carried, I would most certainly have NOT taken out my gun in that situation; I would probably, however, punch the guy in the face or kick him in the nuts. I almost did knock out a homeless guy in the Home Depot parking lot earlier this year, because he decided to run across the parking lot, corner me at my truck, and ask me for money. Amanda was in the truck, and then he noticed the water heater and A/C condenser for scrap that I had in the bed. He proceeded to start touching my scrap water heater, and I don't think he'll ever know how close he was to waking up on his back, staring up at the sky with his front teeth missing. I'll be angry enough if someone tries to steal my HVAC parts, but if they fuck with my girlfriend, I'll deck 'em!

Also, the funny thing is that this moron YouTuber who got shot still plans on pranking perfect strangers. Apparently, from what I could see in the video of the events leading up to the shooting, he approached the DoorDash driver with his phone in hand and started playing some random recording or video. I couldn't hear exactly what the YouTuber said to the Dasher, but the Dasher told the YouTuber numerous times to back off.

Remember when I was in Massachusetts a year and a half ago, and a texting driver in a Bentley almost hit me head on in my mom's Nissan while I was driving to meet you?!?!

Last inspected more than 30 years ago; I can't believe anything from 1968 was ever required to get an emissions test, especially since catalytic converters were not yet a thing!

I saw an underappreciated survivor in a parking lot today and the opportunity to chat with the owner; 1993 Chrysler Lebaron LE, with only 76K original miles, that he picked up for ten Benjamins!
