The Flying Silver Brick build and FOS thread

Hi, this is the Silver Brick's very own thread.

The Silver Brick is a 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4.0L A/T 4wd Base model DCSB that I bought new with 6 miles on the clock back in March of 2010.

Current build sheet.

Power Train:
1. JBA ceramic coated long tube headers
2. AirFlow snorkel
3. Banks Monster Exhaust cat back
4. No longer.(4.56 Nitro gears front and rear
Detroit Tru Trac in the rear)
Now, 4.88 Nitro gears w/ rear ARB air locker

Front Suspension and steering:
1. No longer(JBA high caster UCA's)
Now Camburg 1.25" uniball UCA's
2. Icon 2.5 extended travel reservoir shocks w/ 700# springs(Added CDCV adjusters and 7.5" finned reservoirs)
3. Energy suspension LCA bushings
4. Energy suspension steering rack bushings

Rear Suspension:
1. OME Dakar leaf packs
2. 3* axle shims
3. ToyTec lean spacer on driver side
4. No longer(Fox smooth body 2.0 shocks(27")) Now King 2.5" reservoir shocks w/ adjusters
5. ATO HD shackle
6. BAMF HD shackle hangar

Brakes:
1. Front and rear Goodridge stainless braided extended brake lines
2. PowerStop drilled slotted rotors with matching HD pads
3. Brake dust shield from a 2017, because they're vented

Wheels n Tires:
1. Ivan Stewart TRD rims, 16x8x4.5"bs x5
(Actually have 8 total, other 3 will make for trailer wheels)
2. No longer because they suck(LT285/85/16 BFG A/T KO2 x5) Now 315/75/16 Milestar Patagonia M/T x5
3. Bora 1" spacers on front wheels

Armor:
1. AllPro IFS skid
2. AP Trans skid
3. AP transfer case skid
4. Pelfreybuilt gas tank skid
5. No longer(Demello bolt on sliders) Now BAMF weld on sliders with fill plates

Exterior:
1. BesTop soft top
2. Prinsu roof rack

9. No longer, @Beretta4x4 has em now, traded him for his head rests (Head rest DVD players)

My first mod(s) were a KN FIPK and an AirRaid TB spacer. 4wp gave me a generous gift card for helping them with their website, so the only thing I could find that I wanted for the gift card amount were those things. They have since been removed and sold.

Next mod was a lift, of course. I got a cheapo poly spacer lift with an AAL and some sport shocks to go with. This rode like shit, and I got the dreaded front diff needle bearing vibe. Removed that lift and got the needle bearing replaced under warranty, 3x, until ECGS come out with the bushing, and I immediately got that.

This was the day before I put the ARB bumper and warn winch on in the driveway, by myself cuz everybody was too scared of a little cold n snow.

 

Gave the Brick a bath and took him camping yesterday with @lilred95 and Sexi Lexi

Next is a new alternator and starter, been having some issues with the head unit giving a parasitic draw and I think the solenoid in the starter is getting weak, also alternator doesn't seem to charge the battery completely.
