Squirts F One Fitty Build: ANOTHER NEW POLL! VOTE NOW!

While I still had my Taco I always threw around the idea of making a build thread as my truck was not the run of the mill modded Taco. Well as some know it was totalled early 2023 when someone blew a red light. After that happened I kicked myself for not making a build thread.



Searched for a while for a good Taco but couldn't find a decent one. Decided with my parents to get an F150. Found this decent 2016 3.5L EcoBoost Lariat after seeing a few trucks. Decided it was the one and brought her home early February.

After a person with a dash camera saved my bacon I knew I needed to get one of my own! Went with this Rexing from Best Buy. Works great!

 

Next came some LEDs for the exterior like marker lights, bed lights and license plate lights. Then came a trip to the WeatherTech Factory Store. Felt like I bought the whole place out as I got floor mats, an under seat storage bin, window vent thingys and a bug deflector

 

Then I went and took all the stuff off my old truck after the insurance declared it totalled. I discovered both of my Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fogs survived the accident! Ordered new brackets so I could put them on the F150

 

Bought an OEM bed mat. Similar to the Taco bed mat so it'll last forever!
Put the cheap Carhartt seat covers on from my old truck...

 

Next was air filters. They were disgusting!

 

By this time the fog light brackets finally arrived!

 

Next was the Samsung Auto upgrade. 2016 F150 didn't come with S.A. but if you change the USB plugs with a new module it gives you S.A! Just gotta update the software with a computer to access the feature!

 

Next was Rokblokz! Gotta protect and keep the paint clean!

 

At this point I finally built up the courage to install the VLED reverse light that were originally on my Taco. The wires in the LED taillight unit are tiny! Decided to tap into the trailer plug reverse light wire. Next I ran a ground to a piece of metal connected to the trailer hitch. Worked perfectly!

 

Theres a mod where you can trick the truck into running the built in mirror spot lights on at any speed. Of course I did the mod as it was one jump wire and 10 minutes of my time

Changed out the lug nuts to McGard brand nuts. F150s and many other vehicles use 2 piece lug nuts. Over time they swell requiring them to be changed as they will go from 21mm to 22.5mm. Was going to get Gorilla but they rust out pretty easily. Mine had grown to at least 22mm
