Cleaning your tires?

Not often

bleche white. It’s made for this. Scrub and rinse. Let dry. Then brush on 303 aerospace for a nice matte sheen. Wipe polish off with microfiber

that isn’t gloss “idk wtf I’m doing” armor all flinging everywhere

that’s supposed to help protect the sidewalls from long term UV damage

Soap and water .. I stay away from the tire shine junk .. it discolors the tires over time .

 

Bleach white and a stiff bristle brush. Followed by a non ceramic based tire dressing. No shine just something to condition the rubber.

Contrary to popular belief, wanting to keep your " oFf rOad " vehicle clean doesnt make you less of a man.

 

A number of years ago I bought a curved tire brush from Target. I spray the tires with Spray Nine, scrub with the brush then rinse off.

 

Coming from import cars and fan of the import scene where cars are usually kept clean and shiny, I kept some of that habit where I want the same but lessen since I lost a bit of interest. I am applying the same principle to my truck.

I like the idea of keeping the tires of my truck black, not shiny but maybe.

 

A Toyota Tacoma isn’t an “import car”? Toyota is after all based in Japan. In today’s global economy the term “imported” is a bit ambiguous, but I think most people would consider a Toyota to be an import.

A Tacoma could be called a pickup, truck, pickup truck, light truck, lifestyle truck, car, or automobile, but few people would call this anything other than a truck.

I challenge you to take a survey of the general public on what "import car" means. Your survey must include people over the age of 40.

What cracks me up is how the english language is constantly changing and also how pickups have become fashion (aka lifestyle) statements.

The term "import car" was almost derogatory pre 1990ish or so.

I am not sure why this became a topic when I was only asking for what others are using to clean their tires.

You wouldn’t be coming to a girl with bone stock Civic and asked the girl hey what are your mods, are you a tuner? What does mods your car have? How your car would do in a 1/4 mile?

Do yourself a favor and google import scene. You may see one of the results is from Wikipedia about import scene. Maybe they’re wrong too because there are imported canned goods too. Should Wikipedia include all the imported products in that page because the title of their page import scene?
