Kinda my gripe with some of the hardcore fanboys making excuses. You shouldn't need to get a tune to get highway driveability out of a vehicle that's had the issue for years. Same with the front engine oil seepage. 8 years and the engineers still can't have it rectified?

I thoroughly agree with everyone one else about the OP needing to move on especially if it's the second time posting the same whine and gripes. A lot of his issues are known problems. Why buy it and cry not once but twice. Always one in the crowd that has to be heard. Why give him the attention? Bury this thread.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
This whole complaint thread sounds like OP has been chatting with ChatGPT on Tacoma issues. Glad it didn't highlight the real "meaningful" things like timing cover leak, paint peel... Etc. also missed rear drums and diff howl.

And in typical fashion, OP is nowhere to be seen after posting. Happy Friday everyone .

Gotta say that this kind of thread cracks me up. It's just like broadcasting to the world that you married the wrong person, bought the wrong house, or bought a boat you never have time to use... because you are too stupid to think about the consequences of your actions and have no ability to anticipate problems.

Sorry buddy... but the reality checks in life are what make us wise (if we are smart enough to take a lesson) in our elder years.

My 2022 Trail Edition Tacoma is absolutely spectacular. None of the issues you have. Very sorry that you ended up with a lemon. Hope you find a resolution you can live with, one way or another.

they could probably easily release a software update if they wanted to. Like every other company.
Reason not to is it was probably that way for emissions and no desire to get into a lawsuit like other brands have for similar things.

TOB has been an issue since 05. Nothing done about it.
    That’s just how it is.

I hated my tacoma for years, was disappointed by many aspects of it. Including the looks…now it’s like the disappointing child who grew up to make something decent of himself.

I ended up modding it heavily, including an ECU tune which completely changed the acceleration. Search the forum for KD max tune, get the tune. It will help a lot

Seriously, who’re you guys talking to? You too, @Taco60 . OP is Kaiser Söze (sic). Don’t skip to the end of the movie and comment only on the chef’s kiss and miss all the important character development.

I have a 2023 SR. It’s just about ready to turn 30,000 miles.

The transmission does what it wants because it’s not going to let anyone tell it what to do. It’s the trucks warrior spirit.

The size of the vehicle makes me feel much larger than my 6’ and 215, greatly improving my self esteem. Or… I guess I might actually be growing. Either way, I’m always surprised when I exit the truck and find that I have returned to my normal size.

The arm rest opens straight back allowing my wife to rummage around for her lip balm, which reminds me I’m lucky enough to have a wife with both hands and lips.

My climate control and TSS respond to a series of finger pokes and rotations detailed on YouTube, allowing me to leave the manual unopened for future collectors.

I only use new washer fluid. That’s likely your problem there.

My doors consistently lock unless I’m too far away. I adjust my position by going closer and then pressing the button again. (I hope that helps.)

I find pressing the pedal to be perfectly comfortable. Perhaps a padded pedal? Pre-wrap on your ankle? A workout program?

Did you know that in the United States, you are allowed to sell things you don’t like and buy other things with the money?

You can stop passively waiting for a theft and take action!

    !AMERICA! ! MEOW!

I've got a new 2023 Off-Road, picked up mid January from the dealer, no issues. It's a great truck, I am loving it.
