Let's not forget the $10,000 market adjustments for our California brethren. Rejoice California Taco buyers! $75,000 TRD Pros are en route!

Nearly a $20k jump in base price for one generation, year over year?

I’m not denying the new truck is much better, but that is outrageous. The Ranger Raptor and Colorado ZR2 are thousands and thousands less.

Toyota is a little too proud of the new Tacoma IMO.

Those ridiculously stupid seats pushed it over $60k.

    From 2023 to 2024 it's a $12,895 jump, hard to compare a Pro from 2018 to 2024.

My first thought is "What an absolute joke!" and then my second thought was "Some suckers will pay these insane markups."

I see no reason to get that over a Ranger Raptor.

You’re right - I was looking at the price of the 2023 TRD PRO 6MT, which started at $48,035 new. Auto started at $50,740 new.

So compared to the last year TRD PRO of the last gen, the new one is
Vs 2023 MT: $17,360 more expensive
Vs 2023 AT: $14,655 more expensive.

My point still stands that I know the new truck is much nicer and much more sophisticated, but those increases are going to be absolute sticker shock for folks who bought or shopped the older model just a few months ago.

I'm with you, it makes no sense. It has me looking at ZR2's, AT4X's, and late model 1/2 ton trucks instead. I won't be the only one who does that either.

The Pro has always been an overpriced rip-off. The most bang for the buck has been OR and Sport, nothing new here. The numbers have changed but it’s still a truck built for those who care more about what the decals and emblems say than the guts of the truck.

I've always thought KDSS was pretty neat, but after driving a 3rd gen pro I didn't feel like it was considerably better than the 5100's in my offroad. The pro had much more brake dive.

I don’t see why people would have sticker since we’ve known pricing of lesser models for a while now. I’ve been saying the TRD Pro would be over $65k for months now.

Doesn’t matter how much other trucks are, they’ll still sell more Tacomas and for such a high markup they can lose a few customers and still make more money.

My 20k Tundra is looking cheaper and cheaper. I was mad paying that much because my one that got totaled before it was a 5k find ha.

A well equipped OR cost as much as a Ranger Raptor with a turbo 6cyl. I would no longer call that “bang for the buck”.

I had a feeling this big jump was coming and jumped on the Canyon AT4x for just this reason. I even got the Edition 1 (which was replaced by this year's AEV). It has a winch, bead-locks and some other add-ons and I got it for the MSRP of the Pro...I mean, I don't have the cool seats, though. My only real beef is that there was no powered rear window. My 17 OR had that!
