You’re not going to get that last part. He used my solenoids used in the test and I have them back.

    Whole lotta stuff
I installed an intake manifold spacer at the same time I installed mine so I have no clue if they’re doing anything lol. Truck hasn’t thrown the p0012 code for the OCVs since then though, so mission accomplished. I was doing some pulls on the freeway last night, up to 4k RPMs, sounded really good and smooth. Compared to my old 06 4.0 I never modified, the solenoids/manifold spacer/cam gears seem to be great quality of life improvements. Now if only it wasn’t so thirsty…

just got em installed figured I'd share. Easy job 30 minutes.
Using my Tacoma Bag, and not my toolbox. Primary tool was a 10mm wrench.

Glad I got the old ones out. Don't know when they're gonna die or what they cost for a stock cheap retirement home part.

Initial impressions are short as I took a post work road test
-feels smoother in a good way
-foot felt like it was glued to the motor in terms of controllability
-might have a bit more power. Wouldn't be surprised. I can't say exact numbers or percentages as I don't have a dyno. But I do not feel my truck lacks power. Would I have a bit more power if I put a supercharger? Sure. That's also $5k.
-feels like it doesn't fall on it's face when I let off the gas in 6th on the highway and it's just chillin, happy ready to go and will go
-balancing gas and clutch seems easier now
-it started to feel more like a nice vehicle and not a wheelbarrow
-let's not forget, shiny bling. Thought I was in Fast N Furious for a second.

so yeah IDK what else to say, gonna keep driving it. Keep enjoying it. See if I can go wheel soon and test it there. I don't have any regrets.
And that's not confirmation bias. It's not the craziest price. And I'll be the first to tell you, there have been other mods (unrelated) I've done in the past that were not good, and regrettable, so if that were the case, I'd have no problem saying so.
For example, back when I had 4600, 5100, OME front springs, etc. it was horrible. Some disagree with that. That's fine. Their truck.

glad I took folks advice and would say the results match what folks said.

Planning on changing my screens as well. Why not, it's $20. I'll see how fun they are to change. Screens and washers on order hasn't come in yet.

So yeah. Definitely more smooth. Didn't feel sandpapery and jumpy like you're picking between "2" and "3" with a wide range between as on/off switch without linearness. Hard to explain but you know what I mean.

You know what would make it even more smooth, reliable, and replace an aging cheap retirement home "damper" made out of a guy's shoe that frees up power?
A FluidAmpr. You might even think you have a Bentley V10 at that point.
But people decided tinfoil, clearance-reducing, body-damaging, expensive step bars are better so here we are.

kinda scared to pop the hood now
    they're gold
well maybe it's anodized or something but it looks gold

Is there a market for stock old working solenoids lol
