Since I live up in New England, Rust is always an issue and there is nothing that is 100% rust proof, but it is nice when I scratch it up on a tree or bang it coming down from a rock and all I have to do is just touch it up. That Rustoleum is some strong stuff though. When you get it, I would hit the entire thing with acetone really good, then give every bit a light scuffing....maybe light sandpaper, then clean it again thoroughly with acetone again before your first coat of self etching primer to make sure it sticks on really good.

Hi all living close to the beach, with the rain and all the moisture I quickly got surface rust and wanted to make sure I got ahead of it. I used. Rust Mort which is basically acid, but it did a number on the rust, etching the bumper. I then put two coats of primer and two coats of single stage urathane which was glossy, then did a mixed coat with clear coat and then two clear coats. To dull down. I am super happy with my amateur paint skills, and how it turned out. I still need to find a good location for my license plate as I had a rear winch mount which I think Morgan will offer soon.

So here is the first post of my results. I did add two receivers to the bumper. Future use is not defined yet. I used a gunmetal color so the funny thin is it looks like my sun bleached Rust-Oleum black on the front bumper, another Morgan work of art.

wish I was able to get mine primed sooner but received it and it rained. Surface rust hit me fast, I used some rust mort and then primer. I really like the bumper and the winch optioned worked well. Can't wait to see your results..

Got my exhaust cut back so it’s not just hanging out the side and got the pod lights wired up. Still so happy with this bumper!!
