Prinsu pro got here today. Is it better to wait for the cali raised 43” to mock it up for the cut out or can I cut the deflector 1” per side and be safe? I saw videos where they say around an inch per side and a little cut out for the bolt. but nothing exact. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Any ideas how to mount the front runner quick release mounts so they are more secure? Freaks me out only having a total of 8 1/4” carriage bolts securing the tent. I was thinking about maybe adding u-bolts that wrap around the whole bar.

Why not drill more holes in the mount? I also never liked using carriage bolts in the slots because they don’t have a lot of contact area. I was always afraid they could just rip through the aluminum. T-nuts would be a lot better.

It’s kind of hard to see in the picture but there is already another hole in the mount. Drilling another hole I fear would weaken the mount but it is a option.

If it were mine, I would just slot both holes with a carbide burr. The mount is steel right? I will hold fine with 2 bolts with washers, even with slotted holes.

Slotting it over would probably be the best route

Yes this is what would do and have done a couple of times. My solar panel mount comes to mind. Nothing ever lines up.

Anyone found a good solution for a thule motion with the recessed bottom attaching it to the prinsu? My claws are just to short to reach around the crossmembers
