I live in Concord NC and I go to the Uhwarrie Indian Reservation...there are miles and miles of OHV trails there.

Hey I'm in Hope Mills I go to Carolina beach and Kure beach grew up in denverI know how to drive on the beach. Be careful of the mud around here some deep holes will swallow you. The beach is dangerous on the inlet side just air Down and stay in the sand great fun.

Uwharrie National Forest is a great place! Located in Troy just about in the middle of the state.

There is Hurricane Creek which is past Asheville in the west.
Trails can also be found towards the northwest in the greater Boone area.

To the coastal side. Freeman Park (wouldn't bother this year until they get there stuff together *drama), Fort Fisher, Outer Banks. All of these require day pass purchases.

You have Va to the north with a lot of other cool places. George Washington National Forest and others.

I haven't explored South Carolina yet.

There are others in Tennessee, but we are a very elongated east to west state and it would be more than a one day trip almost.

It has been a while since I have been offroading. I have had my 16 for only a few months now and am waiting for the tires to wear down so I can replace them with toothier ones. Then I'll feel better about going on the more friendly "stock" green trails at Uwharrie (URE).

I just bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4, this is my 7th Toyota I went from a 78 Toyota pickup, to a 96 Toyota Pickup 4x4 to a 98 4runner 4x4 that I then traded in on a 2005 Tundra (that I still have, 340,000 miles and it still runs great), Had 2 highlander Limited, the first was totaled in a collision in the San Francisco Bay Area and the replacement was a new highlander AWD, I just traded that in for the Tacoma. I love Toyotas for their dependability. But I must say, as much as I love the new truck, I am disappointed in the stereo. Yes the truck has some cool features, But I cant get the Alexa to connect (Toyota Support has not been able to help yet) There is no Navigation, why in the hell would you put a map button on the head unit if your not going to have a navi app for the button to activate. I had Entune for the Highlander, its no longer compatible with the Tacoma. The speakers are crap when you turn up the 80's Rock. You would figure for a $45,000 dollar truck, that thing should do everything but wipe your ass. Supposedly, from what I was reading this morning, you can put the scout GPS Link into the head unit by linking it to the Toyota App and then selecting it under Apps and it will do an update to install it. I cant get that to work either. Toyota has really screwed up on the features we need. If you are off road, its likely you will be in a area where cell phones don't work. Especially here in California. there are still a lot of areas in the mountains where Cell Signal is spotty at best.
