Glad you're looking at the start ring, mine would not clip in either. I'd be happy to buy a new one when/if it releases.

My black start ring doesn’t seem to snap in either, I have the orientation correct but it almost seems like something is off on the distance between the 12oclock and 3oclock slots it grabs, maybe a hair too close together causing it to bulge out a little between them and not sit flush. I’ll happily buy a replacement it’ll be an easy swap!

Yup. Especially because u can peel the non fitting one right out and just snap the new one in.

I strive for perfection so anything I can do to refine my producs in order to make them better/easier for the customer... I'm on board. There is no cost to you. Charging you again for a revised part is ridiculous. I stand behind my products, no charge.
I've already re-scanned the OEM ring, made some slight adjustments to CAD and the Mold is getting tweaked as we speak. This should be a quick process.
I'm also adding "UP" engraved on the back because the orientation can be confusing.
    upload_2019-12-31_8-31-16.jpg

Yes I did. Every ring, every color. It was an indicator to show UP...but now I am going to have it engraved in the mold. Small refinements...

Thank you MESO. Count me in for the upgrade. My MGM acted the same as the others who struggled. I put the chrome back on for now.

Stew, I got the black ring as well. The tab I have circled was not on mine(can’t remember specifically if it was the side I circled or the other), it was L shaped instead of a U. Slightly off with fitment, but looks awesome nonetheless! I'll post up an installed shot shortly

Installed shot. Love the black. Was having second thoughts wondering if I should have gone MGM but after installation I like the black more. Only piece I think I’d do MGM is the cup surround. But I’m not dealing with that anytime soon, trying to fiddle with the ECT stealth knob wiring is the biggest pain for me since that connector is so tiny. The black piece at the bottom of the shift knob matches the v1 stealth knob perfectly btw

Just wanted to share my experience.

Saw this post for the first time on Sat. 12/28 and placed an order for the black kit around 8am east coast time. Got a shipping notification later Sat. with tracking number. I never check tracking numbers until a few days later since MI is not a drive thru state and stuff seems to take longer.

Checked the mail Mon 12/30 and have a package from MESO. It was seriously a WTF moment for me due to the ordering to arrival time being so short.

The install was easy. Its 28 degrees and snowing and I busted all four parts out in a few minutes without a need for coat or gloves.

All summer long that damn chrome cupholder ring or shifter ring shines me right in the eyes and blinds my vision. The start button and 4x4 are just gravy on the two problem children that shine too bright, so nice job on this.

No time wasted huh? Lol you’re the man Stew! Like someone said it just doesn’t quite click into place, but it’s so minimal where the fitment is off. Still better than stock regardless lol

I may be in the minority, but my start ring popped in with no issues once I got it lined up correctly. I watched the install video several times before I got it right though.

I thought I was doing something wrong at first or not lining it up properly. I have two start buttons and was messing with both chrome bezels and they snapped in perfectly where I felt like I had to force the new black one in. Got it eventually slightly out of alignment, but still snug

Stock, but not stock (but stock)
Got my black kit installed today. Been reading up on the start button and mine was not seating right at the 11 o'clock position. Took 3 tries and started with the problem area first with some firm pressure and got it!

Thanks MESO! Kit is awesome. Definitely adds +5HP :turtleride:
