I purchased the toyota 7yr/125k platinum zero deductible warranty from Jennifer at wolverine for @ $1150. This was for my 21 TRD OR.
When I inquired for my 23 TRD Pro she informed me she was exclusive lexus now and referred me to Ian.
He quoted me $1630. I asked if they had changed margins and he said no. Toyota had a big price increase.

So, I reached out to another dealer mentioned on TW and got a quote of $1250.

Just an FYI to check around. Wolverine does not seem to be a slim margin provider any longer.
I don't have a problem with them making money. However, I don't like to be mislead when I ask a direct question.

Hope this helps someone else save some $$

Edit: Jerry just called me at 10pm (my time) on saturday night to finalize. Easy guy to deal with, polite and no pressure.
If you want an extended warranty I highly recommend:

Thank you. Really good info as I am nearing the end of the 3/36 mark and was going to be doing the same very soon. Since you seem well versed, my dealership includes a lifetime power train warranty and “free” lifetime oil changes. Only catch is you have to have all Toyota recommended service done by them. Seems like a close to break even situation due to the plugs @60k being $670. Have you heard of an ~at-cost long term service plan? I will also ask Jerry Johnson upon contacting.

Glad it helps. Hope it works out. The guy was very easy to deal with.
My truck came with the "lifetime powertrain warranty" with the same stipulations.
They are a 3rd party warranty (AFAIK) designed to drive service revenue to the dealer.
I'm not so sure it's worth more than the paper it's printed on.

Be sure to read the date when your extended contract starts. My son got stuck when the 3/36 was about to end. $1250 for 7/125 and they dated it back to his original purchase date. So, he was about to loose 3 years right off when he signed. I had same issue but jumped out my chair in the finance office and walked out then they came running to me and dated it for current date for start date and mileage from where truck currently was. READ READ READ or they will get you!

The terms and conditions for all Toyota extended warranties states that coverage starts at date of first use and zero miles. I'd read the paperwork that you ended up signing just in case

    7yr/125k is in total.
    It's not 3/36 + 7/125 or 7/125 added from date of purchase.
At the discounted rate it's well worth it for me.

I have a 2016 and took delivery in March 2016. November 2018 at 34,000 I signed 7/125. It expires 2025 or 150,000 miles at stealership through Toyota. I have only used this dealership for the last 10 purchases and working on 11.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
Any services/goods that a finance specialist will try to sell you At paperwork time typically has a 100+% markup… regardless of what they tell you.

Again I'd read the paperwork you signed. Perhaps post it on here with personally identifying information blotted out as that is not a term and condition provided by Toyota. If somehow that's what the dealership offers then sure but I would be wary about having it honored anywhere else

It was well worth the expense because with the warranty services they had and still are having to provide, that $1250 covered my out of pocket.

Whatstcp post above was correct. Toyota Platinum warranties start from the in-service date and 0 miles.
My local dealer sells aftermarket warranties that can start at the current date and mileage. Hopefully they didn't change companies because of your request...

    From Toyota Financial website:
Vehicles are eligible for new vehicle Vehicle Service Agreements (VSAs) up to 3 years or 36,000 total vehicle miles, whichever comes first. Coverage is effective from date of first use as a new vehicle and zero miles. Coverage expires at maximum time or mileage of the selected plan, whichever comes first.

I got mine a couple of months ago from Troy Dietrich at Toyota of Greenfield (MA) via their website, http://www.FD-Warranty.com. 10yr/100k Toyota VSA Platinum for $1,360. He was great to work with as well, was all very easy. I have his direct contact info as well if anyone is interested.

Exact price Jerry had for same time/miles. Sounds like both are offering aggressive pricing.
