Welcome to the build thread for 2 2024 GR corollas (premium and circuit)

I just picked up my GRC today, my brother @Tigerian got his the end of January.

We were both interested in them forever ago when they were first announced but only recently have they started to show up around here. @Tigerian had a deposit on one since June 2023.

I’ve been looking for a fun car for a while and originally was contemplating the GR Supra. I actually had my name on a 45th mikkan blast manual but between some of the stories I’ve seen on the forums and only partial tuning ability in 2020+ cars I wasn’t 100% sold. Also add in whatever your opinion may be on bmw.

Once @Tigerian car arrived, it was way more impressive than what you see online after actually seeing and experiencing it in person.

A few days later after he finally gave in and let me drive it, I noticed a circuit popped up in allocation. Figured I’d call and make sure it was spoken for, fully expecting 0% chance of getting it. To my surprise, it was still available so I dropped the Supra allocation and switched to the GRC, which was due to arrive in a month or two.

    IMG_6759.jpg

So far about 250 miles in and zero regrets. It’s exactly what I was looking for. @Tigerian is at about 1600 miles.

I’ve never been one to let something sit and be a collector item, so there will be many more miles to come.

The Supra is a finally tuned track machine that will thrash cars worth three times it's price.

The GaRolla.... Well... It's fun personified. It grabs technical tarmac and back roads like a dream. Put Subarus on notice. Makes Z Cars sweat in their sleep.

And it's tunable. Although frankly out of the box it has plenty of firepower. There is such a thing as too much horsepower for a platform.

    Phenomenal cars. Simply stunning.

    *its

    ;)

Also, they do look fabulous. But, I doubt any Z owners are wishing they'd bought a $40K Corolla instead.

    Possessive. "It's" is correct.

The 3 z owners in the country just might after chasing a GaRolla around some good mountain or country roads.

Pff it's a build thread most of these are just off topics anyways. Plus @CygnusX191 is deserving of shame for not knowing "its" is the possessive version. lol
