    Hey All!

Anyone have a wireless CarPlay adapter that they recommend? I have been watching some revies and get a mixed bag of suggestions. I think I have it narrowed down to the Carlinkit 3.0 or the Eleacc but would like to get some first hand knowledge.

I've had the eleacc since the first of October and it’s been great, I would absolutely recommend it. I've only had one instance where I had to unplug it and plug it back in. A couple of points to keep in mind when reading reviews of all of these adapters.
1- people say they are slow to connect. Mine is typically connected by the time I back out of a parking space, always connected by the time I back out of my garage. People are to impatient.
2- people say that the adaptors are slow when changing tracks etc. that .00002 of a second isn’t going to kill you and it’s actually car play that has the delay. My adapter seems to have the same response as when I plug in. Again people are to impatient.

Factory wireless CarPlay in other manufacturers has a lag as well. I wonder if this is worse.

No worse than the ones I’ve used. One thing that does annoy me a little is not being able to adjust Siri’s volume independently from music like the fords but I think that’s a Toyota issue not the adapter

GB is yours still working correctly? I just did the Apple update and I can no longer adjust the volume or switch songs on my steering wheel and I cannot use the volume knob on my head unit to control volume. The only thing I can do is switch songs on the screen.

Yep, mine is working fine as of today. However I just checked and I have not updated my phone to 17.4 yet. Gonna be pissed if apple breaks this with an update.

I tried everything to get it to work. Could not get ahold of the seller so as for now I’m returning it since I’m in the 30 days.

Eleacc. Loved it, just don't fully function since I did the IPhone update.

Does your CarPlay work if you plug your phone in? Looks like lots of people are having issues

Perfectly when plugged in. Assuming the new update no longer fully supports this one...

What exactly doesn't work with wireless car play adapter in the head unit-- Physical vol knob doesn't work; Doesn't work when the phone is plugged into power?

I'll try those two things but haven't had any issues otherwise.

<edit> I tried charging from USB and manipulating the physical Vol knob without issue. Let me know if there is a particular bug to try to replicate.

Yes an iphone with iOS 17.4 using wireless carplay via the CarlinKit 5.0 adapter I linked above. It auto-joins then auto-starts-playing Amazon Music every time without having to do anything with the phone in my pocket. I have the JBL head unit, but that is probably inconsequential for this.

If you haven’t sent your eleacc back yet try to reset network settings and see if that fixes it. This will wipeout all your stores WiFi connections. Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings
