Finally updated my phone to 17.4 today and I have no issues with car play, everything is working correctly. So the issue isn’t with the Eleacc or Toyota.

I'm incredibly new to carplay, but I'm considering buying a wireless adapter for my truck. I have a 2016 Tacoma, but don't know if it has what is required for the adapter to work. It has a USB port, but that's all I know. Can someone give an old guy some advice on this technology? I sure don't want to buy the adapter if it isn't going to work. Thanks for the help!

2016 did not have carplay, only way I know to add it is to replace the radio.

Thank you! That's what I was afraid I would run into.

All hope is not lost for the pre-CarPlay folks. Check out this link. Just installed the decoder module on my 2017 and now I have fully functioning wireless CarPlay. Beyond stoked! Again, this is only for the 2014-2019 crowd (the years CarPlay wasn’t included). https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...70-solution-for-pre-2020-trucks.825184/page-4
