You'd have to ask the coyotes. Or Old Brett, I guess.

Shotgun is probably the safest if you're picking them out of the trees.

Reminder for everyone that the draw deadline is next Tuesday, 4/2. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Not necessarily. If he doesn't shoot 'em at very close range with very tight chokes, he'll be just fine. No different than shooting birds out of the air, let 'em get some range and you won't blow 'em to smithereens.

The elephant in the room....the most recent Colorado AWB ban floating in congress right now. Trying to get more info but it sounds like it will make my Ruger 10/22 and Ruger American predator illegal.

Isn't it the same bill that got shut down last year just with some tweaks?

Colorado's creation of new criminals has gotten way out of hand.
Anyone have a line on bulletproof dog vests?

Per usual, waited until the last minute to give the State my annual charitable donation. Might be the last year any of us are hunting OTC archery, too. Make it priority to get out in 2024 if you can!

If you do not mind me asking, where is that? I'm not asking for exact coordinates I'm mostly interested in the dilapidated structures in the background. Some old ranch? Hunting on private property?

It’s in NW colorado on public BLM land. It looked like an old farmstead and was a cool structure. Unfortunately I don’t think I can give a location without giving away what specific trailhead I was hunting from.

I had a buddy draw sheep for the Zirkles. He's been putting in for a long time, though. I'm going to tag along for his season and help out.
