I almost went with Maui and I’m sure it’s fine. But after hearing and seeing Gatley in my buddies Raptor I decided to go that route. Their customer service has been stellar so far. They answered any and all questions before my purchase and took the time out to call and spend 35 minutes going over stuff before I pulled the trigger. I got the entry level subs and they are fantastic, I can only imagine what the upgrade stuff can handle. I didn’t want to go overboard but I’m basically all the way there minus a new alternator and beast battery. I go the big “7” wire setup. I’ll upgrade the alternator later if I need to but I shouldn’t have to.

PM me if you’d like. I’m in Dallas area. Not sure wha fit would cost to ship but I’m betting it can’t be more than $25-35 if we do it right. I’m not sure what the market is for sure boxes. Not looking to get rich off of it. I bought this box used myself about 2 years ago or so.

Curious about this one, actually have it sitting in my Amazon list. Do you have power seats and how well does it fit? As mentioned on similar posts, I don't need my license plates to rattle, just add a little more. Thanks.

Not who you asked, but for a similar price point, but with more thump I'd go with this...

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P3008P/Rockford-Fosgate-P300-8P.html

It'll fit in the storage cubby.

The one I got fit(s) under the power seat. It is the thinnest I could find. YMMV

How is this box working out for you? Been looking at similar single 10" enclosures on eBay...

Sounds really great!! The Box and the NVX Subwoofer pairs well and sounds awesome with all of the genres of music I listen too. Glad I followed the recommendations.

Is there a decent pre-fab box that will accommodate two subs without having to remove the seat backs? I am planning on removing the bins and running two 10s or 12s. If not, I may build one. Any guide on that, or is there a thread? Thanks.

I've got one for two 8s that fits without needing to remove the seatbacks...super easy to make. Believe I've got pics and dimensions posted somewhere on here.

Hmmm, I looked at your profile and posts but couldn’t seem to find it. I can’t imagine it’s too hard, maybe a little with the weird shapes. Seems like if I remove the bin I could use it as a guide.

awesome, thank you! I think I am gonna get busy. Do you or anyone know how crucial it is to get the enclosure space right? I went down the rabbit hole of box tuning, ports, port area, port volume, F3 = (Vas / Vb)^1/2 (Fs), then my brain broke.... How important is this? I would ideally like to build a ported box, but this sounds much trickier than just add a port (though I know subs all have recommended dimensions which I can work with).

‘It’s about optimization of the driver’s capabilities. A sealed box is easier (more predictable) to control electronically (e.g., with an equalizer).

Eh, with the amount of space we have to deal with, sealed just seemed way easier to me.

it's important. especially considering that you're wanting to run 2 subs. there's simply not enough area behind the seats for a dual-sub-vented enclosure. venting takes roughly twice the space that a sealed box does, and there's just barely enough space for a dual sealed box.

but a single-sub-vented box is feasible.

That's more or less what I figured. Two 10s or one vented 12? I picked up an Audio Control LC1.800 so I can run all my speakers active with the LC6.1200 and have more bass. So I will have ample power, and can run 2 ohms.

Edit: Not purposefully buying Audio Control, I just found both for cheap.

If you're running a sealed box like the JL Stealthbox, but prefer the sound of a ported sub just crack the rear sliding window a bit. :anonymous:

Next evolution of things... swapping two Kicker Comp C 8s and a 43CX6005 5-channel for a single Sundown SD-3 8 and SAEv4 900.5 5-channel. Should put a bunch more power to the front components (ID65CS) and rear coaxials (ID65) - 80x4 at 4 ohms with the sub getting over 300 wired to 2 ohms. Didn't need all the juice available at 1 ohm on the sub channel.

Overall, just going for something that sounds clean and has a ton of headroom.

Box is just a simple sealed birch plywood rectangle that should be about .5 cu ft with sub displacement (22x9.5x6.5)... tucks right in below the rail on the back cab and leaves the childseat anchor in place.
