    I might later
Honestly just tried to find a good spot, and loosened the crossbars to find a fitment for it
I do have it sticking a few inches out at the front more than I want though, probably catching air. Making upward pressure on the Maxtrax. But it’s holding.

also added roof cargo boxes. Ideally kind of want to mount the MaxTrax onto the top of the lids so that it frees up room for other things like axe and shovel

camped before with a shell IMO was lacking space which prompted cargo boxes
And moving other stuff onto rack to get it out from the bed

has anyone put vinyl on their Sherpa grand Teton fairing?

this kit claims to be universal
    IMG_2983.jpg

the texture on my fairing is kind of rough from factory. Not in a bad way. Just a durable coating. I don’t know if that would work to adhere vinyl or not

can’t go wrong with sherpa, i’m a huge supporter of them and think they’re built better than mostly ever other company. i’ve got the GTS from them which i love how low profile it is

Has anyone ever scored there roof rack on sale? I asked them about Memorial Day and they said they had no plans. Hard to pay that price when prinsu runs sales all the time

Did you put the plastic stuff on the bottom of the fairing?

Until someone makes a fairing that matches the curve of the windshield I’m out. To date I think I’ve seen just one made of plastic. This business of cutting an arc into the bottom edge instead is bogus.

I was told by Sherpa to leave a gap so the wind can flow through the rack.

Do you have any wind noise Position like that? I think I will try that next.

Thanks for the picture and info

No noise. There is a gap but it’s about 1/4” at the center

i couldn't make mine work and got rid of it. i had recommended to sherpa to put a crossbar behind the wind fairing like the regular grand teton and they didn't think it was necessary, but i'd reach out to them and let them know about your issues so they can help or make changes
