Does anyone know any good rod holders that fit with 2nd gen Tacomas? I'm in need of one but can't find any.

I’m not sure what type of fishing, but i’ve been using the Riversmith Riverquiver for my fly rods and couldn’t be happier. comes in 2 and 4 rod set ups. they have collapsible ones as well.

Off topic but holy crap those rod boxes are expensive.

I’ve had my eye on buying one but I think I’ll take a crack at making one from a pelican lock box & some ABS pipe from Home Depot

I went down this same rabbit hole. But the one I made from pipe I ended up not really liking. It was ugly, heavy, bulky and only held one rod. My use case is likely different from many others but I ended up finding a cheap snowboard/ski rack on Offerup and now I use that. I don't keep my rods on the truck full time so I wasn't really worried about needing extra protection. And this way I can carry rods for me or 4-6 people.

After all these years, I just throw them in the bed of the truck. Fits 7' rods with the shell.

I do too. That said, I fish 10’ish bobber rods for steelhead so they hang out the back of the shell a ways. My surf rods push 12’ or more, depending on the surf conditions.

I hit a lot of holes on the side of the road following the river, or make a bunch of stops along the beach when I’m out surf fishing. Being able to toss the rods up top with all gear still rigged up would be a huge win for me.
