So I changed out my window regulator in the driver side door today in my 97 Tacoma, and the window goes up about halfway and then needs “assistance” to go all the way up. In other words, I didn’t fix my problem. Could it be the motor? I examined the teeth, and they didn’t look too bad.
Also, when I press the auto button to let the window down, it goes all the way down, but the motor just keeps running until I play with the button??

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I would start with giving your switch contacts a good cleaning.

All the controls are in the master switch.

When you installed the new regulator you did lube everything to allow the window to move easier.

Actually, the regulator came from Toyota pre-greased, but the problem ended up being the motor, the gears on the motor side were worn a bit, good to go now

How did you get past the worn gears? Did you find a replacement gear? or did you change the motor along with the regulator?

Passenger door window rolled down and then it wouldnt roll back up. Tried passenger switch and also tried master switch. Made sure that the window lock didnt get switched by accident. Went back to the passenger window and with the help of another person, encouraged the window up by pulling it and used the passenger switch to roll the window up. It would move and then would stop. So after taking a little break between moving after a few tries it finally went back up.
