Need to replace this taped up hose, for the life of me i can't find anything online nor does it seem like many other twfomas have this exact hose.
    It's from a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 3.4 4x4

It's a ventilation hose from the rear of the drivers side valve cover to the intake. I had a part number for it at one point. It's hard to find, cause it's not in the vacuum hose diagrams... that being said, just get some silicone vacuum tube, and replace it... It doesn't need to be shape formed.

I’m thinking the tape is throwing u off
    Agree with Andy01

If tape taken off will be…just a hose

try a old school hardware store if OEM hose not an option

It should be a 12mm ID hose if I remember correctly.

I have replaced all vacuum hoses with silicone. I used this kit from Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BQ0SDCU
That kit will get you through pretty much every air hose under the hood. There’s tons of other options if you don’t need the extra 5hp colored hoses get you

Only ones you need to stick with OEM formed are the PCV hose and IACV coolant hoses.

@ Andy That's correct as for where it goes, problem is the intake fitting is larger than the metal fitting otherwise I'd just pick up a standard hose for it. I suppose I could get some measurements & see if I can find one somewhere with the different sized ends. Just found it curious after much digging and research I've come to no avail on finding a part # nor even the hose name.

On my truck there’s the large diameter hole in the main Intake Hose, then there’s a plastic reducer thing which takes the diameter down to the same size as the metal side which the vacuum line attaches to. Sounds like you’re missing the reducer?

Sounds like it, I've had this truck for about 7 years now which it was always just the hose with different sized ends with no reducer. I did put the tape on there myself since it had cracked due to age. I'll see if I can find a reducer then.
For some background, Im actually getting ready to unfortunately put this truck up for sale. Just barely didn't make it to the 300k club, sitting at 292k. I just need a 4 door & something more reliable as this truck has seen better days given it was my first truck. On the brighter side I am going to purchase my late dad's 2004 Tundra 4.7L which is in great shape & only at 100k.

    Actually I think I’m wrong..
My truck has that reducer piece, but your setup is different. Always forget the little things that change year to year…IMG_5314.jpg
Looks like you just need to really stretch a hose over that piece?

Think I found the right hose.. Looks like it has different diameters on each end to make it easy too.
I would double check with your vin at

I have used a constant diameter hose on other spots that have different diameters like this, so im sure you could still get a parts store hose to work as well. One side would be either really tight or a bit loose.
