Another option is to replace the switch panel/lower center dash panel with one from a 2018-2019. Unlike the 2020+ that have the smaller media port, these have a standard switch-sized opening so it'll give you an extra place for a switch if you relocate the media port elsewhere. Part number is 55434-04080-C0. Catch it on one of the Toyota parts sales and it'll knock a bit off the usual price.

Thanks, I'm guessing that would require essentially the same install process as the meso panel though. I do like the idea of OEM parts though, but me being as lazy as I am will probably just push either repurpose the QI or BSM switch as those are essentially useless in my truck. Was just hoping that someone may have found a switch that fits the media port.

    Thanks for all the suggestions

Taking my stab at this, since our plugs are different, it looks like this may be one of the cables needed to make your own quick charge port/armrest carplay?

In order to complete it, you would need USB to male OEM connection to plug into the back of the headunit, which of course I cannot find.

Like this but with the new plug

Anyone think that wouldn't work if we were somehow able to find that second half?

No, just premium with nav, but I don’t see a reason that specific connector would be different. It’s on its own board with the connections to the nav unit. I’d guess the JBL differences are in the big three connectors or maybe the speaker out connection.

Thanks! I just went out and double-checked what the connection looked like before I purchased that, and it looks like the same thing, so I went ahead and ordered it. I will report back when it arrives.

Reporting back that everything works on 2020 with JBL, moved data port into center console + added QC.
