Toyota keeping track of me?

It just surprised me that they would call me at home instead of discussing it the next time I went in for service. I’m not sure if it is customer service or drumming up business. It is really hard these days to keep your life private, to bad.

 

It isn't activated by the Toyota app, the truck itself transmits every time you turn off the car. it sends a data package back to the mothership, your trip stats, driving data, gps at stop and any trouble codes.

 

yeah you're right, they should've called you at work.

 

That's everyones preferred method of communication right?

Toyota is also giving you a driver score, how you brake, accelerate.
No biggie until it’s linked to your insurance premiums.

 

then why isn't Toyota calling me
when I pulled the trans on my 08
or when my ABS light came on
