Who actually buys these things when you can buy a street legal off-road capable Tacoma for the same or less?

just thought it was interesting, do any of you have one of these?

Except that razor will beat the tacoma in every aspect of offroad capability by a long shot. It's two different things, there is no comparison. 2 different uses, different expectations, 2 different purposes

The Tacoma is not even close to being on the same level as one of those...drive one off-road and you’ll know the why

I bought a 2016 RZR 900S EPS brand new. It's really fun, but...

That was a fuckin stupid purchase. There's no way to understate that.

I didn't screw myself financially or anything but there were definitely smarter ways to blow 16k.

Who buys a $40k Tacoma when a $20k Frontier will do the same thing? Why did I replace a $4k motorcycle with a $14k motorcycle? People will spend money on things they like and enjoy.

People love to live in debt. Idk. People pay almost 60k for a gladiator.

I don’t see the value. I could see 15-20k though.

RZRs are crazy fun, but I wouldn’t drop $40k on one. We bought a Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Premium last August and I freaking love it. It does double duty, working around our little property and riding trails and dirt roads. We got it with the Ride Command package and ended up getting it for $15k. No regrets here, but again, it’s not $40k either.

They have models with heat, AC, windshield wipers, power windows, etc. Pretty much whatever you want these days, if you’re willing to drop that much coin.

Arb summit bumper. Morimoto led headlights and new grill. Grill and lights have sequential turn signals.
Love watching the YouTube videos of them getting towed out of places after those razors break from people taking them into the desert or rocks.
Matt towing another broken one out.

I have about $30k in to my ‘17 xp4 that I bought new. That does include tracks that we use in the winter so that we can get in to our cabin. The rzr is stupid fun. My Tacoma is also fun, they’re different fun for sure.

If I were to do it again, I would get a General instead of the rzr though. I would get way more use out of that than I do my rzr.

My friend just got the new 2020 Kawasaki TERYX® KRX™ 1000 and wow. What a beast and different ball park than normal truck offroading.

And those are only like 18k right now...would definitely like one in the future

I’ve known many people with Teryx over the years. Without fail, they’ve all fell in love with what you can do with a sxs offroad, sold them, and bought a rzr instead.

Go look at the KRX 1000. Would take that over a rzr anyday.

Why are there so many posts here about what people spend their money on? Everyone’s financial situation is different, 40k is nothing to some folks. Just be happy and don’t hate on others for buying more expensive happiness lol

I have a 14 can am Maverick I bought new. It's a fucking blast and all the trails (northern WI) won't allow trucks and they wouldn't fit on most anyway. Not sure if I like my snowmobile or the SxS better.

Because people are insecure and want to be reassured they made the right financial/ social decision. "these other people ARE DUMB and don't spend their money right like we do, RIGHT GUYS?! ....RIGHT?"

Not even close. These things "Look" tough on paper but I see them on the trails here all the time with broken axles and blown transmissions. They are not durable if you try to take them off road.
