I just got my Snugtop Rebel camper shell with the Yakima rack. I like the look of the Yakima windshield/diverter for the rack but I didnt want to buy it if it's not worth it. Does anybody have any experience with that?

In my opinion, the only reason to get it is to reduce wind noise which should not be an issue with the rack only on the cap.

It clamps around the bars so it limits where you can put mounts for other accessories and the lower edge rests on the roof in several places so there is the potential for paint wear (they give you little clear plastic stickers to put on the roof where it touches).

I added a third crossbar to the cab because I frequently carry long ladders and lumber. The cab rack definitely caused a lot of wind noise so I got the wind deflector for it.

I got the bars because I will also carry ladders and a little lumber from time to time. Do you have issues tying things down? How do you secure your load without loadstops? I like the rack but I need to find out how to rig up a make shift loadstop

I use the load stop brackets on my round crossbars. If your bars are not round, I'm not sure what your options are.

I had a Yakima rack on a different vehicle and got a deflector for noise reduction. It helped somewhat... at least at some speeds. But also seemed to introduce new noise at other speeds. Wasn't a total fix, at least not for me.
