So, I'm wanting to get the 16" xd Hoss rims. I don't really want to lift, get bigger tires or seriously off road my truck bc I drive ALOT of highway miles... Guy at 4wp.com says that they don't recommend 16's for Tacomas bc of the brake calipers. Anyone running these on their trucks? Thanks in advance

I run 17 xd hoss. Mostly on pavement.
    On general grabber at2's 255-70s.
I take them off for winter. Wax them a few times a year. Been 2 or 3 years still look new.
I run the oem 16s for winter on same tires in a 265-70.

What they're talking about is the center bore. For instance, the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 are both 6x5.5 (6x139.7) bolt pattern just like the Tacoma. Their hub size is 78.1mm where as our trucks are 106.1mm
If the center bore size of the wheel is smaller than 106.1 the wheel won't fit because it won't fit over the hub. Most companies drill the center bore to 106.1-108mm so it'll fit the Tacoma and other 6x5.5 bolt pattern vehicles use a hub centering ring to adapt to their smaller hub size.
