Wtf, KN cold air intake .. not legal in ca.. no EO sticker

    I 2548CDA6-CECD-4A20-8DAF-35F83995A9B1.jpg love my 07 Tacoma, purchased Two years ago.. need to smog and WOW.. My Kn air intake is only for racing not for street use...
    It came that way.. obviously someone put it on ..
    what am I to do..?! I’m in California and the emission are a pain..

    Track down a original air box somewhere...? Waste more time..just for a visual inspection..!!

    Only solution I can think of is replace with stock, like you said. Can't be too expensive.

    i thought the seller is required to sell the vehicle with smog cert within 60 days of selling it? Exactly so you don’t buy a vehicle that doesn’t pass smog. Make sure it has cats underneath. You could probably stick any OEM airbox underneath it since they all pass. Just a thought.

    Stock intake is a better cold air intake than that KnN anyways. Get a stock one and be better off anyways

    Somebody sold their Fj with a aftermarket cold air intake.. looks like it will fit...and didn’t give them the OEM for smog...yikes..!!

    Might be able to contact K&N and have them send you the sticker you need for it unless it's not a CARB approved intake in the first place. I'm which case, you need to replace it with one that is or find a "cash only" smog shop

    My 2 cents, if you want a CAI URD makes a pretty good one that doesn't sit in the engine bay but sits in front of the radiator or you can go with the TRD CAI which is CARB exempt. I had the TRD CAI in CA but sold it to get the URD TCAI which I currently have on my 07 Sport, in CA. But I also kept my stock for smog
