Finally found a hood near me with a scoop for sale. Its $150 but has a wrinkle in it. Paint is matched to my truck but is this repairable for a reasonable price or should I pass?

100% worth it if you can fix yourself. If not it’s going to cost 400+ for body shop to fix dent and sand/repaint. Then you have a $550+ used hood.

I say no. You got yourself a 2019 perfect truck...then add a part that is banged up? I’d pass.

Ehhh... I think $400 would be on the "cheap" end (in Seattle). Certainly fixable, but you'll pay.

Pass. That’s the freaking front stage pic of your truck. The first thing everybody see when you pull up

Yes very cheap end. Used crackhead in need minimum :). Then on top of that he’s got a used hood on a new Tacoma. Personally I wouldn’t swap hoods period unless I was swapping a hood with a truck just as new as mine and even then would be very hard pressed to do so.

And if you have the same metallic gunmetal gray I have you be surprised how the spray pattern of the metal flakes varies along with the “perfect” match. Chances are in the direct sunlight it’s either a little more blue or green than yours. Maybe even red. The tones are very subtle but trust me unless you don’t have OCD. If you do it’ll drive you nuts.

For 150$ I'd get it. Just to have a spare. I wouldn't even fix it.

Pass as they would have to repaint the entire hood.

I’d get it , try to straighten it out some and throw a bug deflector on it and hope it’s not noticeable.

Spend 150 to reduce your visibility on trails. Makes sense to someone I guess.

Yes, hide it under a bug deflector. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

If you're OCD, pass. If you're me, you get it. My trucks dirty enough for it to blend in.

if $150 isn't that much to you, go get it and if you decide not to use it, resell it...
