Where are you folks with the wolfbox mounting your camera? I'm currently using a bed rack opposed to canopy so I'm looking to see what other folks are doing for references.

I'd like to know too. I keep seeing them and they look promising. Just don't know where to mount the rear camera to where it would be more useful that the one on my bumper. Also have a bed rack. Mounting it to my rack with some kind of kick-out extension so the tire on my swing out isn't taking up all the view was my thought. Otherwise it might have to get mounted to my tent, ha.

It's pretty dang chunky which is the biggest drawback, it looks like ass when mounted to their license plate bracket.

Ya, that's the direction I was heading next. Might look into mounting it on my swingout but higher up. Idk, will probably wait for another guinea pig though, ha.

I'm currently leaning towards mounting it in the back of my cab as it would give me a closer view to that of old fashioned camera as well as record the sides of the bed were I struck back there. I ky downside is that wouldn't work once I got a cap.. may move it to the under side of a roof rack if I get one?

The underside of the rack is my main thought too. But I'd have to mount it up to see how the view is. Which model are you looking at from Wolfbox? I was thinking the G900.

Interesting, their support told me that their system wouldn't work with any other branded camera... I may try to get an echocam p220 and see if it will display, as I could then get the meso customs third brake light with integrated camera slot.

As a follow-up I ended up mounting it underneath the lip of the headliner, just to the right (when facing the bed). Working pretty well so far, going to move it to a camper shell once I put it on.

I've been messing with this as well. I conceptually came up with a few solutions but haven't had the time to implement them yet.

The locations I have narrowed down were:
-On the cab right behind the shark fin if you have no bed rack or topper
-Inside the cab on the right or left section of the rear window
-Inside the sharkfin, which is mostly empty but requires quite a bit of custom fab.
-3D printing a new sharkfin that incorporates the camera
-On the underside of the rearmost crossbar of a bed rack
-On the top center rear of a topper
-On the center hub of a tire carrier much like the Wrangler
-Custom mount that sticks out above a tire on a tire carrier
-On the top of the tailgate in the center with a metal hood over the camera
    -Inside the tailgate

There are a ton of options, but none of them are ideal or easy to execute.

I recently bought an extra sharkfin and am working on a new cover incorporating a camera. Unfortunately, I just haven't had the time to get deep into this project yet. This is also not ideal if you have a bed rack or topper.

I just switched from my softopper to a Kuat Ibex bed rack and will be mounting mine above the 3rd brake light once the panel kit for this rack gets released.

I think this is what I'm going to do with the Wolfbox camera. I believe I can mount the flange behind the light and run the wife through to the headliner. I might replace the 3rd brake light while I'm at it. I'll update later if I do this.

1st post !. If you look directly above the plate in the bed pan there is a cut out used to lower the spare tire. If you push the cam in from the back it is almost a perfect fit . You will need to get a little crafty with the mount or the Dremel but once installed its not really visible and the bottom of the tailgate is out of shot .You will need the 30ft wire kit to get there .

I'm not sure the rear camera can take much direct weather. I mounted mine on the roof rack so I could see the bed when I have stuff in there. Now the rear camera is all messed up after being in 100° heat and having freezing snow on it this past year.

I've had the camera fog on the inside. Give me pixilated pictures. Send random info, like a test screen. It's stopped storing it's settings. I've been unable to use the touch screen. The whole unit won't power on sometimes and I have to hold the power button for about 30 seconds to get it to turn on. And recently with the change of the weather, the unit has been turning on but won't remember it's settings.

I haven't gotten in touch with Wolfbox about it. I had one problem before where the unit wouldn't work, Wolfbox had me reformat the memory card for it to work again. All the problems I've had started after I reformatted the card (I've tried other cards too), I think there should have been a warranty return when I had the memory card problem.
