Starting a thread for reviews, mods and install help. Just completed the install on my 2012 Tacoma. Very impressed with the camera and screen quality. Although the OEM bracket (Model 1) was not confirmed to fit a 2nd gen tacoma on their website i made a pretty good assumption that if it fit other Toyotas it should fit the 2nd gen and i can confirm it does.

Looking into getting this also, do the visors still fold down without hitting the mirror?

Does that mounting orientation cause problems for the GPS? I was under the impression that a specific side MUST be facing the sky.

If you opt for the bracket/arm yes, the driver's mirror will hit the wolfbox if you have it hanging off the side of the OEM rearview mirror. (Third gen anyway)

Haven’t had issues, compass and speed work just fine on the display.

How much extra wire did you have for the rear view cam?

Not much, I have a DCLB and the wire length was just enough to reach the license plate. And it’s only one cable to hook up the rear dash cam.

Good to hear, I have a short bed but don't want to have a ton of leftover to stuff into the headliner or something. Have you messed around with saving videos, curious how it saves front and rear videos?

From the headliner, down the a pillar. Under the driver side carpet there is a rubber grommet where some other wires come through, then its just along the frame rail to the license plate.

I’ve been looking at these, can you use the factory camera on a 3rd gen?

The plug for the rear camera on the mirror is a 2.5mm headphone jack. That's all I can help with

This does use a style of headphone jack, can’t confirm the size right now due to me being out of town for work.

It's a 2.5mm like I said. Are you saying the 3rd gens use a headphone style jack?

Not disagreeing with you on what 3rds gen use, I’m saying the wolf box uses a type of headphone jack but I’m not sure of the size

    LOL I have a 2nd gen, can't speak for 3rd gens. I'm saying the wolfbox uses a 2.5mm jack

Super clean! Did you have to use a dongar power adaptor hidden behind the headliner? Im trying to do this as well but cant figure out what I’ll need to power the thing!
