Hey all, i am curious if someone here has some experience wiring up a amber/white 3 wire led bar ( rigid 28" E-series) ... i am thinking of having two spst switches so that i can turn the amber or white on/off independently and i have come up with a diagram.. Can someone double check my work here? And if so please correct me or maybe there is a better way. I would super appreciate any help as this is giving me a small headache lol

Hmm that is interesting... using the 5 pin relays gives a bit more options.. although also offers complexity and i like simplicity!! So after some research i put together another wiring diagram. I also called Rigid which to they told me the essentially since its a dual row LED bar and each row is one set of colors its basically two LED bars inside one... aka two independent circuits ( want to be able to turn both on or off when i want )

So here is another wiring diagram that is also a DIY RELAY/FUSE BOX wiring system for accessories on the vehicle. This diagram only shows two circuits, although add more relays and land them on the bus bar and you will have more circuits on deck.. Here it is. This should be correct, i will be building one shortly to test and verify this is correct 100 % but from research this will work.

BTW those are 5 pin on-off led switched wired for SPST

since i am using fused relays to power the lights.. would i need to connect that other leg aswell? Im concerned about that bridging 12v back towards the relay

The Relay may have fused power ( 30 & 87) to provide to the LED bar...but it needs power input to actuate (86 & 85).

Wire the switch like the pic I posted..
Switch center pin get ACC fused power-
One pin sends that power to the relay coil (86) and internally the switch has the indication lamp in parallel which illuminates when switch is in the ON position as long as it has the ground pin doing it job.
The other side is to illuminate the switch with the dash circuit.

Okay so the center switch pin goes the 12v acc. Power... that pin is internally parallel to the other side of the switch pins? (don’t think it is on this specific switch I got- this is the diagram for my switch, says to wire it jumping the grounds and the ACC Power for the illumination)

So that would make my second diagram correct?

really appreciate your help too btw man

Ahh i think i understand now what youre saying... the center switch pin is to send voltage over to the 85 pin which can be connected to ACC such as a power outlet which is part off the ACC circuit (Green and Green/white) for a constant on

Although if i wire the bottom right pin to the dash lights then i can dim the LEDs!

Honestly just liking the idea of running a separate 20 amp fused wire to the panel area and then i can daisy chain the power of the switches (middle posts) and find either dash or ignition for the illumination. This way i can limit the points where i tap into the stock harness...

That last pic will only provide illumination but no dimming. Separate the grounds. The side that provides power to the relay tie to ground. The side of the switch light, that goes to dash illumination negative ( green with white stripe)
