Almost brand new '17 Sport. Lately noticed my blades skipping a bit on the winddshield. No noises but it looks weird.

Heard it could be the windshield is too dirty or too clean. Looks decently clean to me.

    Anyone else?

Probably not enough moisture on windshield?

Are they skipping all the time or just at speed? I noticed mine skip sometimes on the highway when I'm driving 75mph+. Seems like a normal thing.

Replace the blades with a new set of factory ones. Yes, I know its a 2017 but who knows how long those blades have been exposed to the atmosphere. They are rubber and rubber breaks down.

My '16 did the same when I first bought it. Bosch Icons did the same thing. 0000 steel wool and a claybar was the solution.

nah, The windshield gets a weird coating on it from something they do at dealership/port. Mine did it too. I clay barred the windshield and it fixed mine.

A coat of Rain-X on there will cure all of your woes. Lower friction means your wipers won't skip, and even if they do you won't need them anyway because of the Rain-X

It' weird that now the rain has stopped and everything is dry it doesn't skip another. Huh. Maybe rain x will help lubricate?

My blades went to shit pretty quick. Noticed the passenger side was ripped at roughly 22k miles. I got some new Rain x ones and they seem to work.

Between the rain and using your wipers you may have washed away whatever was causing them to drag in the first place.

Personally, I'll never go back to a vehicle without rain-x again for as long as I live. It makes such a huge difference for visibility in the rain, especially on back roads at night. As an added bonus (around here, at least), ice scrapes off a lot easier during the winter, too. I mean, unless it's just barely misting or it's absolutely downpouring I hardly ever need to use my wipers when it rains, because it all just rolls right off at any speed faster than 25-30mph.

I run the same, the deicer. But it's definitely worth putting a coat of the actual rain-x liquid on all of your windows a couple of times a year.

Regular Rain X in the little yellow bottle screws up my windshields, wipers chatter, skip, and jump all over, but the Rain X washer fluid works awesomely, go figure.

If I get 22k miles out of a set of wipers, I'll be pretty happy. With previous cars I'd have to replace them about once per year. Winters are pretty rough on wipers.

Yeah, mine end up getting replaced every fall before it starts snowing. That's why I mostly use the cheap Anco's; the expensive ones don't really last any longer in our neck of the woods.

Edit- Although, I see that Rain-x is now offering wipers that actually apply a coat of Rain-x to your windshield for you, for you lazy types
