Anyone have a recommendation for a non-memmory foam mattress for my 6' bed platform? Memory foam freezes somits not an option. I'm leaning away from inflatable but have not rules it out and I don't want more than. 4", 3" might be better. Thinking standard full size.
Let me know what has worked well for you and where I can get it.

Exped Self inflating megamat. Not cheap, but really high quality and the R value is incredibly high at 8.1. REI is currently running their 20% off sale for members so you could save a few bucks.

I got one (Exped Megamat 10 Duo) for a Colorado road trip last year. Highly recommend.

I really try to not shop on Amazon. But lately buying direct has been tough, lots of places have zero stock.

+1 on the Exped. It's incredibly comfortable and easy to inflate. I upgraded from an air mattress to the Exped for a recent trip to Moab and I was warm and had some of the best nights of sleep I've ever had camping.

Moosejaw has them in stock with 10% back in Moosejaw rewards. Doesn't look like the current coupon applies though.

I bought the Deep Sleep 7.5 from Exped for my trip in October to Shenandoah National Park. It's 3 inches thick, has an R-value of 8.5, and comes in 3 different sizes that would work for you: 72x20, 72x26, and 72x41. I have the smallest as it's just me camping and it saves a little space.

I was comfortable with just this mat and a three-season sleeping bag and tent. As others have said, REI is running a 20% off sale for members(even if not already you'll still save $ after buying the $20 lifetime membership). Sale ends 11/22.

Another +1 for Megamat. I replaced the "mattress" in my rtt with it and haven't looked back. Feels like an actual bed.

I have been happy with therm-a-rest products. The fancy new valves are great. MondoKing is great but may be long for a 6ft bed. Exped is great as well. Most of the R value comes from thickness, so go as thick as you can.

Regardless of what you buy - make sure you carry repair equipment! Vibration in the truck means holes are an inevitably - patches are a lifesaver.

I remember when people used sleeping bags. They didn't take up much space when not needed either.

I've had my megamat for years now. As long as you take care of it, it'll be alright.
