I like glass on the move in Oakland. Check out the Keith Haring work when you’re there

Marcel at glasstek is a great guy, I generally go to him for OE. On my work vehicle I call Kru at American Auto Glass, hes mobile.

So I ended up calling onsiteglass repair, who ended up replacing the windshield with a OEM windshield. It's been about 2 weeks and I'm wondering what kind of symptoms do you have when you don't recalibrate the windshield?. The technician told me that sometimes cars recalibrate themselves and sometimes you have to take it to the dealer. Has anyone had any experience with this and what I should look for before taking it to the dealership to recalibrate?

Mine just recalibrated itself or at least didn't kick up any warnings. I think it happens more when they unplug the dash camera system as opposed to letting it dangle there.

Out of curiosity did they replace the windshield gopro mount and if so is it the exact same one as OEM?

The non OEM windshield I got still had a gopro mount, the only difference is that it doesn't say gopro on it.

Yeah same with mine but it seems more cheapy and broke when I tried to mount my camera. I have OE glass but since its not the exact OEM it had a different mount and unfortunately you can't buy just the mount.

So that's what they told me as well, that it should recalibrate on its own. However the last few days, I've been having some issues with head seat restarting and losing power on the freeway. Even today a check engine light appeared. Another weird one is I can't roll my passenger window down from the driver master control but can roll it down from the passenger side. Sighs....

Ahh. Entune is garbage soo yeah.

Though, I wouldn't necessarily think the adaptive cruise control has anything related the stereo. I would just go back to Toyota and yell at them for the radio or get the latest update.

Nice, the windshield didn't last a month.

Is the non OEM windshield stronger by any chance? The OEM ones seem to want to constantly split on me.

They break real easy. It may be due to the angles of the windshield too. Knock on wood I got the OE not the OEM branded by Pilkington and its held up really well since May without one crack. I know things have hit it because every time you hear that plink you look around holding your breath to see if anything cracked.

PS If you get it replaced let me know if I can get the gopro mount from your old one if you don't mind.

Just got mine replaced by Atlas Auto in San Mateo as recommended here. Jon is a good guy and did great work. He made sure to get me Toyota glass and recalibrated my TSS. Used my insurance so it was $100.
