Has anyone had an issue with the window washer fluid not spraying out when you hit the lever? My pump works, i can hear it. When it warms up above freezing, it will work. But, in the morning when its 35 degrees or colder, the spray wont come out. I wonder if the dealer put in regular window washer fluid that isn't made for the winter, so it freezes. I haven't used a whole tanks worth since i bought the truck in July. I'll try to squirt as much spray as i can during the warmer days and add in the winterized spray.

Never an issue. But I always use stuff that is low temp rated. I can spray here in colorado even at zero

The first thing that I did when I bought my truck was to replace the fluid with Rain-X. We have single digits in the morning and no problems.

I had a full tank of old/original fluid that I decided to drain moving from GA to CO... It was pretty quick/easy to unbolt and detach a hose or two and dump it. Having said that... you could just wait for a warm day and spray the remaining fluid frequently (maybe not constantly to be easy on the pump) to get it low or empty before refilling with the -25 deg rated fluid.

I'm in Gunnison CO, and it's -17F here this morning. No freezing with the Rain-X Orange mentioned above. No clogging issues that some others have experienced.

If somehow the pump ever stops working... be sure to check the fuse before moving on to investigate the pump or nozzles.

Rain-x is the only stuff I use in my cars. I think they sell the -20F version around here but I could be wrong, dont really pay attention honestly. The orange is winter rated, the other color isnt. Never had an issue (though this weekend might test that)

Their orange all season form is nasty. Leaves all kinds of residue behind. I never had that issue with the green stuff in warmer months.

Had it freeze up in my diesel on a trip up to Chicago from south texas. Took all the way back to texas (12 hours of driving) for it to dethaw enough to use it again. Chalked it up as different formulas

I believe you have a health amount of water for washer fluid. Use any of the ones recommended above and you’ll be fine, remember to run the washer until the water has cleared the line.

Some stuff sold in warmer places is just windshield washer. Cleaner, water and no antifreeze. Your dealer might be using that. Here in Alberta you can only get windshield washer with de-icer (anti-freeze) rated -35 or -40. I wouldn't take it apart, I'd just run it until it's empty then fill it with the de-icer stuff.

Shady oil change places cut costs by watering down the washer fluid they put in. They don't care if your shit freezes up.

In Russia, we stayed out from washer fluids containing glycols or methanol during winters. Prolong usage can eff you up. Make sure to close intake air. We used cheap bootleg vodka.
