Any reason why switching the master switch on my SR5 to a TDR pro wouldn't work? Wanted both front windows auto up and down. Plugged it in and nothing.

Bought on ebay so a bad part is possible.

I don’t believe the switch controls the auto up/down feature, that may be controlled by the body control module as in programming.

I'm also not sure if it's a direct swap, requires some tinkering in Techstream, or something else, but did you try the "programming" steps?

Turn the ignition on, but don't start the truck.
All of the windows should be fully closed.
Depress the driver's side window switch to roll it down, and hold the switch for about five seconds after it is down all of the way.
Pull the switch up to raise the window and hold it for about five seconds after it is all of the way up.

If that works, repeat the steps for the passenger side window. If not, more research is required.

I get this description for the part number on the left:
    • Description:
Without full auto. Tacoma. Left. Double cab. With one touch up/down. Highlander. Without limited.
and this for the one on the right:
    • Description:
Tacoma. Left. Double cab. Without one touch up/down.
my guess is that the "one touch" is a two part system. one the switch has to be able to "click in" for the one touch (also so that it is labeled on the face properly), and the other is the body control module needs to know how to interpret that signal. Are you getting zero movement at all from the new switch or just missing the one touch function still?

I have the same suggestion. When I replaced my battery I had to do the “programming” steps and the auto function wouldn’t work. I strongly believe the switch activates the auto up/down because it has a second step to it when pushing. Best of luck op!

Getting zero movement. Even from the back windows. So I don't know if I just got a bad switch.

@caribe makaira had a wire diagram in here earlier that is gone now. maybe he can give you some insights on what you can test with a multimeter to see if the panel is good or not.

Is this just a cheap sell to get people to buy the higher trim? My wife’s Volvo costs about the same comparatively and she has all four windows auto up/down. Seems like that could very easily be standard in cars…

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
    OP ignored it.
Wiring to switch is different from his model to the model that has the feature. Better off selling switch module

Seriously. Our base-model Prius also has auto on all four windows.
