Weathertechs, in channel. No issues, good ventilation in the rain. Almost as good as the old vent window. But I digress.

The 1st and most useful mod to my new truck. I have to crack the windows during the day. Heat index was around 99 today and it started pouring early in the afternoon. When I left work I could have gotten into a soaking wet truck or a stifling hot one. But with the Weathertech deflectors, truck wasn't either.

They help in the winter, too. Less icing on the windshield if the windows are cracked during the night.

I got the AVS ones that stick on the outside of the door. I think they work very well, and like them a lot. I can roll the window about 1/3rd down before I get any wind blasting me in the face.
Even with the window all the way down it's not bad at all.

I have had them on every truck I have ever owned. I guess it's a southern thang, but it sure is nice to be able to leave the cab well vented on a blistering hot summer day and not have to worry about rain getting in. And I prefer the AVS in-channel design.

I have them on my current truck. Couldn't live without them but....that's on a truck with no AC. Lets the heat vent out while sitting, can crack them when it's hot and rainy to keep the windshield from fogging up, and use them in the winter to keep the inside of the windshield from frosting up over night.

I'd probably put them on a truck with AC too but it's less critical.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I have them on my '21 TRD OR AC. Put them on so I can leave the windows open a couple inches in hot weather without worrying about T-storms rolling in.
Like others in this post, I don't care what Other Peoples' opinions might be - I mod to suit MY needs with function considered before aesthetics.
Unlike some others who require the Forum's general approval to decide on something for their trucks.

I didn't think I was seeking approval, just use cases from people who actually have them to gauge their satisfaction (or lack thereof) before I drop over $100 with tax and shipping on something that might not be worthwhile. I agree with you, everyone should set up their trucks as they see fit.

I have had the AVS in channel set for a couple years now and am quite happy with them. Have held up against the 2nd sunniest city in the nation in that time with no deteriation so no worries bout durability.

I have them because I parked the truck on the driveway. In SoCal weather without crack the windows. It’s too way hot.

Only think I don’t like is there definitely creates window noise.

With all the dumb useless shit tacoma guys buy to mod their trucks, this is actually a useful mod. Crack windows while driving in the rain is my main use. Had them on the previous offroad truck. Weathertech. Buy them.
Ive never noticed more noise or anything else. But i guess they could cause more noise. I guess im not the princess and the pea.

They are nice to be able to crack your windows at work during the day and not have to worry about rain getting in (cue the rush outside at work when a rainstorm rolls in:)) - it makes it difficult for others to see that your windows are open so less chance of people messing around with it. Handy if you are driving in the rain and need ventilation. They also do a decent job of blocking some sun while driving.
